I think you have forgotten the 80's and early 90's of UW basketball.

Ask UWGB, UW-Milwaukee and Marquette how easy it has been over the last 10 years.

Trading Santana and Brinson (and maybe another player or 2) to Tampa for Archer (with 4 years control left) and bringing in Cain is a GREAT idea.
Cain is an upgrade from Santana defensively and offensively and would likely play CF and move Phillips to right with that arm.

Nelson, Anderson, Davies and Archer sounds pretty dang good to me.

I think both deals would have to happen to make sense.

Maybe a CF can't win a game, but he dang sure can lose one.

Brinson has all of about 50 PA in the MLB and is 23. Give him some time.

I know, he just seems really tight to me.
I said I hope I'm wrong.

My prediction.

Brinson is too tight.
I have not seen him relax and play loose yet.

I see Matt Gamel here.
I guy with a lot of talent that simply pressed too hard.

I think he will be gone soon and I don't think he has the mind set.

I really liked him at 1st, but as I watched, I changed my mind.

Hope I am wrong.

I now think the Brewers will end up with Cain and Archer.
I think they lose Santana, Brinson and maybe 2 others in the Minors.

Just a guess.

OK, maybe 2~3, that basketball juggernaut Nebraska laid wood to Gard's Badgers.

2018 Packers Front Office & Coaching Changes
I have now read 2 interesting stories of a near mutiny (My word) in the front office on TTs performance over the last several months.

We may hear some interesting stuff about this soon.

Wisconsin would actually be 4-1 in conference, IF they beat Rutgers and Nebraska the next 2 games. That is  very possible. Both are away games, so losing is very possible too. After that they go to Purdue, then face Illinois at home. IF they can get to 5-2 after the first 7 games, that would be fantastic. The last 11 conference games are quite a gauntlet though - perhaps 2 wins that I see there(Illinois and Nebraska). Anything better than a 7-11 finish in the Big 10 conference play will require tremendous coaching and some great play out of players other than Happ and Davison. Again, that is possible; but with the roster Gard has I just don't see them making it to .500 in conference play. Both Davison and Ford(to some degree) have done more than I expected of them. Iverson is beginning to play better but has been a disappointment so far. King got hurt and it out - he is a guy that would have contributed during the 2nd half of the season. Pritzl is great against the NorthEastern Waukesha States, but has not contributed much against the good teams. Trice has been an ADDITION since his subtraction.

Every game will be a crap shoot from now on. Badgers will lose some games they should probably win and will probably beat a couple teams they should lose to. In some ways this team is more fun to watch than the last 2 years when the team had more talent but also had a couple guys who dogged it at times. I always prefer to see guys bust their butts and play above their talent than to watch guys with talent dog it/or disappear.

I have watched EVERY team in the Big 10 play at least once and Ethan Happ is the best overall player in the Big 10. Other guys can/will score more. Some will rebound better. Some will play better defense. NONE are better 'all around players'. Happ makes every player on the floor with him a better player and that is the definition of a great player.

This team WILL make the TOURNEY - the Big 10 tourney that is!

I didnt think this prior to this season, but unless Wisconsin brings in a 'big' tranfer or recruits a 'big' who can play immediately, I think Ethan Happ will go pro after this season. He has nothing to gain by returning IMHO, unless the coaches can get him some help up front. Next years team should be better, but I dont see them as a 'contender' for anything next year -a better record for sure, but not as a bonifide top D-1 baskeball team.

I hope Happ returns because he has been one of the most fun guys to follow that has played Bucky basketball in all my years of following this team. Kaminisky was great, but not immediately. Davison looks much like Happ did as a frosh - just a tremendous competitor who never backs down. Love seeing Wisconsin bring guys in like these guys.

OK, maybe 3-2 if they beat Nebraska.
Rutgers was just too much.
