Aight I know absolutley NOTHING about womens bball but it would seem to me that UW Green Bay got robbed, they went undefeated in their conference and absolutely destroyed Butler 91-64 in the Horizon title game, they also finished the season #21 in the polls. Then tonight on the selection show they only got a 9 seed?? Idk that just seems weird to me

Maybe their conference is just terribly weak. Women's basketball is a joke when it comes to an exciting game. It seems that when ranked teams play each other, it's a blow out STILL.

the horizon league is ridiculously terrible. they did pretty much the same thing last year and they got stomped in the tourney.

if i am remembering correctly, which is always questionable, i dont think that gb got destroyed last year in teh tourney, i thought they played a higher seed and put up a good fight

other than the fact that its women's basketball, the women's tournament is incredibly boring because there is no parity whatsoever and there are never very many cinderella stories or upsets.

i do agree that there is a lack of parity but i think they said that the last time all 4 #1 seeds made it to the final four was 1989, so it isnt like the 1 seeds just make it to the final 4

You're right, there's usually a 2 seed thrown in there somewhere.

GB didn't make the tourney in 2006, but in 2005, they almost beat a 7 seed, losing by something like 2 or 3 points.

i meant to say 2005.

they were a 4 lose team, 1 conference lose, going into the tourney that year, and lost to a pretty bad 7 seed. they are a 3 lose team this year.

not that i am a womens college basketball expert, i barely even watch it, i do listen on the radio though, but gb actually has to prove something before they get the respect.

I dont know what the lowest seed ever to make it was but wasn't Minnesota a couple years ago a #6 or #7 seed when they had McCarville?

Minnesota was a 7 that year, and Baylor was a 2 the year they won it.

As DKelly said Marist women have made it to the sweet sixteen as the 13 seed. Marist is 30-5 on the season and committ the fewest turnovers per game in the country, maybe the 13 seed was a little low but like UWGB their confernce is weak
