Too many turnovers for the Badgers. Very sloppy. No clue how we are winning.

Well the officials are at it again with their "foul" calls.

When we aren't turning it over we are getting pretty good looks.

Jon picked up a really stupid 2nd foul, and now he won't play for the rest of the half. That can't happen.

Trevon is so much better when he doesn't try to do too much and just plays the game. When he hunts his own shot too much it hurts the team.

Sounds like they are playing very well right now. Of course won't be able to watch til like 4:45. So maybe the start of the second half for a little bit. If they can win this one, that would be a nice early feather in the cap getting a win against a ranked ACC team. Just got to get J-Bo hot.

Up by ten at halftime so hopefully they won't give it back and get a win over an ACC team.

And they did a lot of the damage without Leuer on the floor. Maryland has had everyone right? No foul trouble there. I am excited to get home and watch a bit. It is on ESPN right?

Had some really nice stretches of play in that first half. After Maryland's quick start we ran good offense and got a lot of good looks at the hoop that we finally knocked down. Then when Maryland went zone we struggled again for 3-4 possessions until we finally figured it out and knocked down some open looks. It makes a huge difference when guys like Jbo, Tim, and Jon knock down their open outside shots.

That said, there were some really bad turnovers that half. Jordan had one before a media timeout and Bo was really giving it to him. Trevon had multiple bad plays that resulted in turnovers.

Nice to see the Badgers with 10 points off the bench in the first half. Evans had a real nice one dribble two hand dunk from the wing. Haven't seen that in awhile. Rob and Berggren were both able to contribute with and ones. Bruiser had a nice offensive rebound and put back. Helps out the starting five a lot if these guys can get in the scorebook.

Cut down on the turnovers in the second half and maybe we can pull away and win comfortably.

ESPN 2. Maryland has everyone I believe, but Vasquez isn't playing very well.

Well, Wisconsin is up by 14 after Bohannon's free throws. That's good. We're closing down on Vazquez (minus the 3 he just made). The only thing that is going to concern me slightly is Trevon trying to draw fouls.

A nice win over Maryland 78-69. JBo had twenty and hit the free throws down the stretch. Jon Leuer had 16 and Trevon 14. The Badgers shot 49% for the game and 45% from three point range.

Game Thoughts:

1) Jon Leure: HE is going to be the key to this team. Great pull up jumper and smooth stroke. He just needs to improve his back to the basket game and hit a three occasionally to make the defense respect him.

2) I know won't change things because he never does, but the starting line up should be Jordan Taylor, Trevon Hughes, Jason Bohannon, Jon Leure, and Keaton Nankivil. This the lineup we finished with against Maryland and just that one substitution makes this team that much more quicker.

3) Trevon Hughes still makes some bone head plays but his defense has been phenomenal so far. It is an understatement to say that he vastly outplayed two of the better point guards in the game in this tourny. Nic Wise and Grevis Vasquez.

4) Good to see Bruiser looking comfortable out there. He has been inconsistent so far but had some nice plays tonight against Maryland and is lightyears ahead of where I thought he would be at this time of te year.
