For me, it was knowing that even though we sucked, we still practiced hard and tried to always have a positive attitude, even though we were getting humiliated each week, knowing that our time would come to finally win a game. It finally did, the last game my senior year. I wasn't as fortunate enough to play on good teams like some people have. Some people don't know what it's like to get beat up every Friday night and still try to be postive for the underclassmen because you dont' want to set an example for them that losing is acceptable. Knowing that everyweek even though you were out manned you still worked hard to try and improve, waiting for that day to when you can finally walk off the field and say you won. I still get teary eyed talking about it.

i thought this was why high school football was so great...or at least most of it...

In the 2004 Pennsylvania state Class A championship game, Southern Columbia sent out nine players for the first play, and opponent Rochester High responded by sending out only nine. Thus good sportsmanship was shown by Rochester High School and many other Pennsylvania high schools that year.

AWESOME story, man. Awesome.

One reason for me is even after losing a hard game in the playoffs badly, (22-2) is that we are already getting ready to be better next year, and hopefully breaking our 38 year confrence championship drought, and getting to the second round for the second time in schol history
Always remember the 25th of December(for more then 1 reason)

as cliche as it sounds... you really have no idea how great high school football is until you watch the clock tick down to 0 in your final game of your senior year...
