After last night's loss at Minnesota, the Packers now have an identical record to the Cleveland Browns through 11 games. 4-6-1.

This team needs to make a move. The McCarthy era is over.

Who would you like to see leading the Green & Gold next season?

Anyone that can make Rodgers not look for a home run every pass play!!!
I was reading an article this morning about Rodgers and his desire to extend pass plays.  Against the Dolphins, on the 4 and 2 play, McCarthy lined up Adams in the backfield so he would have a LB cover him out of the backfield.  Adams was open right away for a 1st down, but Rodgers extended the play and got sacked.  Reid does these things with Mahomes and Hill, and McVay does these things with Goff and Cooks.  I saw some creativity last night with the plays, but Rodgers takes way too many sacks.  I am not placing the blame on Rodgers entirely either, but for what ever reason there is a disconnect between Rodgers and McCarthy.  The quick strike passing game is non-existent.  Whoever the next coach is, they have to get Rodgers to buy in.  Rodgers is starting to look like an aging QB and is not making the same throws he used to.

This QB/Coach divide is highly reminiscent of 2005.

At some point A-Rod is gonna have to refine his game...for his own well-being and the effectiveness of the offense.

How long is Doug Pederson tied up for in Philly ?  Can he be bought out ?  Would he be interested in returning to Green Bay ?

Brian Kelly?  How many college head coaches transition well to the NFL?  Nick Saban couldn't do it.  Chip Kelly couldn't do it.  I don't Brian Kelly would transition well either.  It was two years ago that he was almost fired at Notre Dame.
I like Eric Bieniemy from the Chiefs.  I think he would be good.  Andy Reid said that he thinks Bieniemy will be a great head coach.

After looking into Brian Kelly the answer is no, people who cover him say he is downright ornery and that would not work in the pressure cooker known as Green Bay .

John Harbaugh many think will be available , little known fact is Mark Murphy hired Pat Fitzgerald at Northwestern .

As for college coaches I trust what Chip Kelly says that the game clock is so controlled by the officials that it really is a different game .

I'll take MM over 99% of the names  , gotta figure if Minnesota fails to make the playoffs that they would contact a free agent MM .

So far, the Packers have interviewed re-treads Chuck Pagano and Jim Caldwell. Reports today indicate they have reached out to Northwestern for an interview with Pat Fitzgerald, which as a Badgers fan would make me happy if he left NW, as a Packers fan, not sure...

So far the only name that makes sense to me is McDaniels who has been contacted for an interview. Fitzgerald is an interesting name due to Murphy hiring him at Northwestern. I think Jim Harbaugh would be great fit in Green Bay. Say what you want about him, but the fact is that he is a proven winner. Was atop coach at Stanford in his five years their. Went onto san Francisco leading them to 3 NFC title games with Alex Smith and Kolin Kaepernick (both dont combine to equal the talents of Rodges,) and now he is doing well at Michigan. He may be ornary and iritating, but he will put Rogers in his place and help bring out the best in him

So many coaching openings in what sure seems to be a bad year for available coaches. I want no part of re-treads like Pagano, Caldwell, Munchak, etc. Bringing in Fitzgerald with no NFL experience would be a killer. No interest in either Harbaugh. I'm very skeptical of McDaniels. Haven't heard a name yet that really excites me, but not sure there are any that would right now. I have a bad feeling Murphy is going to muck this up.

Might not matter too much, though. Gutekunst has a huge job in the off-season to try to salvage a competitive team around Rodgers over the next 2-3 years. So many holes and so little depth. Two-thirds of the roster needs to be turned over in all reality, both veterans and young guys alike. And somehow, despite so many high draft picks at the position in the last 5-6 years, there seems to be just one legitimate starter in the entire secondary.

The front office made big news dropping Mac during the season , they cannot justify bringing in a retread or college guy with no NFL experience . I would predict the next head coach is either currently employed in Green Bay or interviewing this week , if they interview and leave town without a deal then they are not returning .

Fitzgerald has announced he will not be taking any NFL interviews. Packers have scheduled an interview with former Dolphins HC Adam Gase this weekend.

Matt LaFleur is the next coach of the Green Bay Packers.  I have no opinion on him, mainly because I know next to nothing about him.  I am definitely hoping for the best.  I saw this clip and got me to chuckle.......

Pretty much as I suspected they hired the last guy they interviewed , once Josh McD was not announced after his interview I suspected one of youngsters .

Social media talk is Green Bay wanted to keep Mike Pettine and staff so they hired the noobie , if true why not hire Pettine as HC ?
