EC North (1-7) @ Rice Lake (2-6)
This will be the last game of the season for both of these teams, and it's always sad to know that this will be the last game of football for many seniors. Both teams will be coming out hard and with alot of heart. North's passing attack has a chance to break loose this Thursday. Brett Bodenburg looks to be a promising quarterback as he wraps up his junior season. However, I just don't think the Huskies have the all-around team to take down the Warriors. Look for the option attack of Rice Lake to come out and strike right away. I would love to see either team win in this one, but if I had to take someone I would go with the Warriors.
PREDICTION: Rice Lake over EC North
SCORE: 28-22

Superior (5-3) @ Hudson (6-2)
It's a weird scenario that all the 4-2 conference record teams play one another this week. Both the Spartans and the Raiders are playoff bound but nothing is sweeter than heading into the playoffs right after a huge win. The winner of this game will have that feeling. Hudson's got a great offense and defense that could help them go deep into the playoffs. I really like Superior's offense attack. They have one of the best returners in the conference in Zach Colvin. This game could come down to special teams. I really don't know who to choose in this one, but I'll go with my gut feeling...'upset'.
PREDICTION: Superior over Hudson
SCORE: 26-18

River Falls (6-2) @ Menomonie (5-3)
As I mentioned before, here's another 4-2 conference record battle. One of these teams will get a 2nd place tie with either Superior or Hudson. I thought Menomonie looked good last week even though the score of the Chi-Hi game didn't show it all that well. Chi-Hi is just that good of a team. Menomonie believe it or not has a potentially very good passing attack. Too many missed big chances last week. They will need to execute those this week if they want to end the regular season with a win as they head into the playoffs. Jake Wilson and Kenny Chowa are two athletes that will need to step up big time this week so they can carry momentum into the playoffs. To counter that, Levi Johnson for the Wildcats will need to do so as well. River Falls has one of the best offenses on this side of the state, and that's a big due to Johnson carrying the ball. This game is also a toss up, but I don't care if the Indians lost to Hudson earlier this year at Williams stadium...I'm gonna go with Menomonie.
PREDICTION: Menomonie over River Falls
SCORE: 17-7

Chippewa Falls (8-0) @ EC Memorial (0-8)

Another undefeated regular season for Chi-Hi.
PREDICTION: Chippewa Falls over EC Memorial
SCORE: 38-7
