Here are this weeks games. My picks are in bold. Even though there are four undefeated teams playing each other this week, I think the Evansville/McFarland is easily the game of the week. I don't think Brodhead will be that much of a match up to Big Foot, especially after Brodhead's play last week.

Brodhead / Jud (6-0) vs. Big Foot (6-0)
Clinton (0-6) vs. Parkview (3-3)
Palmyra-Eagle (2-4) vs. Beloit Turner (2-4) Toss up. Depends on which team shows up for both.
Evansville (6-0) vs. McFarland (6-0)
Edgerton (4-2) vs. Whitewater (2-4)
Jefferson (3-3) vs. East Troy (1-5)

I have the exact same picks as Beyond Prime.

Not going to make any scoring predictions this week though.

Big Foot @ Brodhead/Juda- imo BJ doesnt the defensive power to hold down the talented backs from Big Foot..ill take Big Foot 35-16

Parkview @ Clinton- Parkview keeps their push for a playoff birth and gets a win..49-12

Beloit Turner @ P.E.- I think BT has one of the most underrated players in the conf. in Byrom, he's gonna go off this game..BT wins 35-21

McFarland @ Evansville- McFarland is going to what imo is one of the toughest places to play in the conf. But w/ Cashore out Eville's 1-2 punch of him and Kiester really takes a blow...not enough offense for Eville..i take McFarland 21-7

Whitewater @ Edgerton- Edgertons offesnse is to much for WW...Edge wins 48-14

East Troy @ Jefferson- Dont know to much about these 2 teams but i did see ET play and they looked pretty bad...Jefferson wins 28-6

Brodhead / Jud (6-0) vs. Big Foot (6-0) Big foots just too good...
Clinton (0-6) vs. Parkview (3-3)
Palmyra-Eagle (2-4) vs. Beloit Turner (2-4) I just have to give PE the edge, and homefield.
Evansville (6-0) vs. McFarland (6-0) Game of the week! I have to go McF.
Edgerton (4-2) vs. Whitewater (2-4) Edge is recovering from two losses, but whitewater just isn't enough.
Jefferson (3-3) vs. East Troy (1-5)

Brodhead / Jud (6-0) vs. Big Foot (6-0)
--Both teams are good, but Big Foot is just that good
Clinton (0-6) vs. Parkview (3-3)
--Parkview under a new coach is doing alright this year.
Palmyra-Eagle (2-4) vs. Beloit Turner (2-4)
--I agree it depends on which team shows up. Both have been up and down. My gut says Palmyra but in a close one.
Evansville (6-0) vs. McFarland (6-0)
--Game of the week. This will be a close game. Lots of talk about this one on here good and bad. McFarland will win 20-14 behind their solid defense.
Edgerton (4-2) vs. Whitewater (2-4)
--Gregory will get back on track and air it out over the whippets
Jefferson (3-3) vs. East Troy (1-5)
--Hopefully the eagles can keep it up and have guys step up. Injuries are hurting this team bad right now but I think they'll have no problem in this one.

Big Foot 7 Brodhead-Juda 6

Brodhead took the opening kickoff back to the BF 8 and scored, only to miss the extra point. BF made theirs. Brodhead had a nice drive going at the end of the game, but an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty killed any chance of winning. Gotta learn to keep the mouth shut! BF was as good as advertised, but I think Brodhead-Juda also earned MUCH respect with their performance. It will be an interesting matchup if these two see one another in the playoffs. It was a very hard hitting game. Not much offense by either team all night. For as hard-hitting as the game was, the offenses did take care of the ball.

Good luck tonight to all of the teams tonight and play hard. There are a lot of games tonight that I would love to watch. Too bad we couldn't have streaming video of all the games that we could watch later.

McFarland 8 Evansville 2

McFarland gives up a safety in the first quarter, but the defense held steadfast as they bent but would not break, allowing Evansville in the redzone numerous times, but holding them to no offensive points. Evansville came with a stifling defense as well, blocking 2 field goals and holding McFarland's rush game for the first time this year. Evansville almost gave up a scoring opportunity when McFarland punted and Evansville's return man (may or may not) have touched it within the 5. The play was ruled a touchback nonetheless. Defenses continued to punish each other, when finally with a minute and change left in the game McFarland completed a near-perfect pass for a 65 yard touchdown, 2 point conversion good.

It was an extremely close game between two very good teams, with McFarland barely coming out with the win. It will be exciting to watch both teams in the playoffs this year.

Here are the WSN results:

Evansville (6-1) 2 McFarland (7-0) 8
Edgerton (5-2) 33 Whitewater (2-5) 21
Jefferson (4-3) 42 East Troy (1-6) 22
Brodhead/Juda (6-1) 6 Big Foot (7-0) 7
Clinton (1-6) 37 Parkview (3-4) 15
Palmyra-Eagle (3-4) 10 Beloit Turner (2-5) 6

It looks like there were a lot of great games last night. Both Evansville/McFarland and Brodhead/Big Foot lived up to the big games that everyone thought they were going to be. It was nice to see Clinton pull out their first win this year.

it was a very hard hitting game...but are u kidding me...it was fumble city out there...and as for keeping ur mouth shut...the player didnt say anything...he was frustrated and threw the ball to the ground

You are right, I didn't realize that Big Foot had that many turnovers. As far as the penalty, at no time in a high school game or any level game should a player spike the ball out of frustration. Keep in mind that I am a Brodhead backer, but it was unfortunate that his actions were pivotal to the outcome of the game. As long as it does not happen again, then a lesson will have been learned!

ya i think he learned his lesson and im pretty sure it wont ever happen again...its just a shame that that penalty factored into the game
