OK, for grins I went back and looked at everyone's previous picks to see who has the best record so far. Tough to say, because nobody has made picks every week, but here's a synopsis:

Badgers42 - only picked in week 1, but went 5-0 1.000
kballa2303 - 4-1 in both weeks 1 and 3 .800
tigersfan05 - 11 of 15 in weeks 1, 2 and 4 .733
badger72 - 7 out of 10 in weeks 3 & 4 .700
terrordad - same as badger72 .700
Robot - 3-2 last week in first picks .600
TylerC - only got 1 in week 3, 3 in week 2 .400
oldmoney - incomplete picks, but got 5 right in 3 weeks .333

If you give everyone a zero for the weeks they made no picks, then it looks like this:

tigersfan05 - .550
kballa2303 - .400
badger72
- .350
terrordad - .350
Badgers42 - .250

oldmoney - .250
TylerC - .200
Robot - .150

Somebody please correct me if my math is wrong. I propose a contest for weeks 5-9 plus playoffs, with FVA prognosticator of the year bragging rights going to the winner. Get your picks in now if you want in on it. I'll probably pick Appleton West to win every week, so the only way I'm winning this contest is if they play their hearts out and catch a few breaks along the way, starting this week in Oshkosh. I'll make four votes with my head and one with my heart each week, and see if I can beat you guys.

Yeah, and Appleton West is 3rd in scoring offense while Oshkosh North is 3rd worst in scoring defense. Big deal. Both teams' numbers are skewed by one very unusual game, which doesn't help matters. ON has scored 1 point more than AW has given up, and ON has given up 1 point more than AW has scored. All this means is that if both teams perform to their averages, O-North should win 28-25. When you look at it that way, it doesn't sound like an Appleton West victory would be that big of an upset, does it?
