Platteville @ Lancaster - Well folks, here is what everyone has been waiting for. Platteville has looked strong, Lancaser has looked strong. I'm going to go with the Arrows in a close one because of tradition and home field. And of course, Adam Hampton. Hampton scores 3 Nzuguwhosurmomma has 2. Lancaster wins 28-21.

River Valley @ PDC - Valley gave me my lone loss last week going with them against Dodgeville, so I'm not going to let them get me again. I'll take PDC 28-14.

Richland Center @ Dodgeville - I think Dodgeville has earned some respect so far this year. Under a very good quarterback in Rundhaug I like the Dodgers here, fairly handy, 35-14.
Just what The Dr. ordered!

I'm takin RC over Dodgeville. RC really showed what kind of team they had against Lancaster in week 3, scoring 22 points. that is the first time this year lancaster has given up that many points. RC beats Dodgeville by at least 2 td's.

There are some tough picks this week.

Prairie du Chien over River Valley -- Prairie is tougher than you think! River Valley is a little disappointing!
Richland Center over Dodgeville -- Dodgeville is better than last year, but so is Richland Center.
Lancaster over Platteville -- But this will be different (much closer) than last year. Platteville has actually played some decent defense.

Looks like we'll still be tied after this week copycat.[]

But yeah, Dodgeville has been the surprise of the season and RV has been disappointing thus far. Still plenty of games left to turn things around though.

I'm going to go on a limb here and take Platteville. I know Lancaster is ver very good, but I feel Platteville is good also. I think this game will come down to, how/if Platteveille can cantain Lancaster's speed. Platteville will score on them.
other games: Richland Center, Prairie

You have to call them like you see them whether it's the same call as someone else or not!! Maybe we'll get one of these wrong!! Unfortunately (but maybe not) I'll miss a SWC game this week as I'll be at the IG - CC game. That should be a good one as well!

Lancaster will win by there DEFENSE this week.....there going to have to do it sooner or later if there going to make it as far as they did in the postseason

PDC wins fairly easily....RV still not sure whats going on there.....

Dville and RC will be the game of the week.....two teams who both need a win to keep them motivated but i think dville wants this game a little more because no one had really given them a shot this year...

[]

How is that the game of the week when Lancaster is ranked #1 in D5 in every poll, and Platteville is ranked #1, 2 or 3 in D4 (depending on which poll you look at)?

Oh also Erin...as someone formerly affiliated with the UWP soccer team, there is no Kevin Little as it says in your article. That would be Pat. Isn't Kevin Little an R & B artist that sang that "Turn Me On" song from a few years back?

Okay, now I'm just nit-picking.

Quality articles none-the-less.

Paltteville, Lancaster put perfect records on lineBoth teams ranked in top 2 of respective Wisconsin divisions[link=http://www.thonline.com/contactstaff.cfm?articleid=131423]by ERIN MURPHY[/link]

Two years ago when the Platteville Hillmen and Lancaster Flying Arrows met on the gridiron, Platteville was on its way to a fantastic season that included an undefeated conference championship. Platteville's offense racked up 548 yards as the Hillmen won that game, 44-32.

Last fall, Lancaster met the Hilllmen en route to the school's fifth state title and blasted them, 42-7.

Tonight in Lancaster, the rivals square off again - for the first of two meetings this season - and seem to be on much more even ground. Both are undefeated and ranked in the top 2 in their respective divisions.

This one could be a doozy.

"Our whole team is getting jacked up," said Lancaster's Adam Hampton, who added he has heard whispers of a crowd approaching 2,000 tonight. "We're getting really excited. You can see the intensity in the team this week. It's fun."

The rsums speak for themselves. Lancaster (3-0, 1-0 Southwest Wisconsin Conference) has been the top-ranked team in Division 5 for the entire season, while Platteville (3-0, 1-0) has risen to No.

2 in Division 4.

Lancaster's offense has been spectacular, scoring 42, 54 and 44 points in its three wins. The Arrows have the steady Tyler Landon at running back and the ultimate playmaker in Hampton, well, everywhere.

"Our offense has really been clicking," Hampton said.

Platteville has been just as good, and the Hillmen seem to be playing better defense than in years past. Bruising tailback and University of Wisconsin recruit Louis Nzegwu has run circles around - and straight lines through - opponents, and Kyle Wagner has helped ease Nzegwu's burden by playing well at quarterback.

"They're a tough team, a big team, probably the biggest team I've seen in a while," Hampton said.

Make that two big teams and one big game.

TH prediction - Lancaster 35, Platteville 21.

You know it's standing room only at every Lancaster home game. But I doubt there's even much standing room along the fence tonight. Fans better get there early if they want a place to stand, and really early if they want a place to sit.
