Well, so I went 5-3 once again for the second week in a row...which honestly isn't that good. But hey...at least I tried eh[]. So this week we start getting into straight-up Big Rivers head-to-head action. 4 games, all 8 BRC teams in each one...let's take a look at the predictions...prediction in bold.

River Falls (0-2) @ Chippewa Falls (1-1) - I'll start out with my alma-mataaa Chippewa here in this one. They beat a tough Holmen team in week one 21-7. Last week, they lost to a tougher team out of Edina (MN) 26-0. Now I'm not saying that the Cardinals lost because the played a MN powerhouse, but the Cardinals just didn't show up for last weeks game at all. And they'll need to start showing up for games if they want to hang in the BRC this year, cause there shows to be alot of talent this year. River Falls has lost both opening games...I personally don't like the fact that they weren't able to pull of wins against New Richmond or Ellsworth. The Wildcats are better than that, and they know that. Trent Frey had a big week last week. Either Frey or Tyler Hanson will have a huge night, I crave it...but I think the Cardinals will pull out the win with a bigger night from running back David Callaghan. Chippewa Falls wins 35-21.

Superior (1-1) @ Menomonie (2-0) - Superior finally ended their losing streak with a win over Duluth East (MN) last week. But Menomonie has a different streak that wont be ended in this matchup. Menomonie had 28 points scored JUST off of special teams last week against Hopkins (MN). Can you image what might have happened if the offense got the ball more? I'm still not feeling Superior's offense, granted the 1-1 record. It doesn't really seem like they have a passing or running game, and you need both to even have a semi chance against a powerhouse like Menomonie. Look for the Indians to get a running clock early in this game. I'm thinking huge stats...then again I predicted that last week against Superior...and look what happen[]...no but really, Menomonie unloads on Superior 56-0 to increase it's conference winning streak to 36.

EC Memorial (2-0) @ EC North (1-1) - Ahhh, yes, the inner-city battle. The rivalry between these to Eau Claire schools is ranked one of the bests in the conference, and possibly the state. North went from a near four 100 yard rushers in game one, and went to only one with Tyler Boss leading the way in a loss last week. Memorial's Taylor Comeau is living up to his preseason hype and is leading the conference in rushing. North's speed could have a chance against the Old Abes, but I have a feeling that as good as a game this has a chance to be, I'm gonna go with Memorial on this one. Memorial improves to 3-0 with a 30-16 win over the Huskies.

Rice Lake (2-0) @ Hudson (2-0) - This game could also be the Game of the Week in the BRC conference compared to the EC's games. Rice Lake and Hudson's offense rank as two of the best in the BRC this year. Hudson's passing game has takin it up a notch along with the option, but Rice Lake owns the option and uses it to perfection. I've stressed all year that the Warrios no-huddle option offense is just to much for a lot of teams. Rob Berger had 5 total touchdowns last week, 4 on the ground, and one coming from the air. Cory Novinska ran for 116 also. Ben Luehrs will need to step up big in this game if Hudson even can come close to a win, and I'm talking in the air and the ground. As much as I hate to see one of these teams lose, I'm gonna go with Rice Lake in this one. But Hudson has the best chance to prove me wrong this week. Rice Lake wins 42-21.

2006 Predictions Record: 10-6

jace, why are u in love with river falls? you're right that trent and tyler are gamers...and rf does have talent, BUT they'll never be in a game this year because of their unbalanced power offense with a bunch of under 200 pounders on the line.? they are not underachieving at all this year, they're right where they should be.? 0-9 all the way baby......far cry from john bennett's 1-0.

No one said I was in love with River Falls...I mean I did pick against them ya know. And I predicted them to finish 2 or 3rd to last in the conference so...I think I got er down[].

They were two wins better than they are this year, so obviously they did to an extent.

And hey, only River Falls people get to criticize our team like that!
If you were right, I'd agree with you

I think we've gone over this before, with the Hudson over Menomonie prediction your opinion doesn't count. Plus, who are you?
If you were right, I'd agree with you

You mean it wasn't the GK and my rather strong ego that gave it away? Are you gonna tell me that Jake Voeltz plays basketball now?
If you were right, I'd agree with you

Okay, that one was legit, althought I did just mention that on the water cooler board.
If you were right, I'd agree with you
