Alright, last week I went 5-3. So I'm above .500. Great week last week. We had plenty of BRC teams get off the right track with a win, Hudson wins a nail biter, and Menomonie proves they are one of the top teams in the state...again. So here's this weeks predictions, in bold I might add.

Hopkins (MN) @ Menomonie - Alright, last year Menomonie beat Hopkins in Minnesota on Hopkins homefield. To make things even worse, the Indians just hammered Wisconsin powerhouse Mukwonago in week one on their homefield. I really don't think Hopkins stands a chance in this game, no matter how they are ranked in Minnesota. Menomonie slams down another opponent 35-8.

Chippewa Falls @ Edina (MN) - Chippewa didn't seem to have the same explosivness as last years offense, which scares me. Last year Edina almost pulled a comeback late in the game. As much as I hate to do this, being as I'm a Cardinal alum...I have a feeling that Edina isn't going down easy this time, or at all. Edina will hand the Cardinals a loss in week 2 by beating them 42-14.

Ellsworth @ River Falls - River Falls was upset last week by New Richmond. They're gonna come hungry and on fire after the loss. Nelson will run wild for the second straight week. River Falls gets the W by defeating Ellsworth 28-17.

Rice Lake @ Sparta - Rice Lake will considerably handly this one with ease. Their offense will be too quick for Sparta. Rice Lake gets a runningclock win with a 49-7 win.

Hudson @ New Richmond - Hudson really surprised me last week. Seeing as I viewed the game from the sideline in person, I really think this offense is gonna open some eyes this year. With a nice Shotgun style passing put into the Hudson system, look for them to be the Cardinals of 2006. New Richmond wont be pulling any upsets in this one, Luehrs will have another phenominal game by hamering New Richmond 38-0.

La Crosse Central @ EC North - North tore the running game up last week, and Central gave up alot of yards to Comeau of Memorial...North ALMOST had 4 100 yard rushers last week...La Crosse is in for some trouble. North wins 28-21.

Duluth East (MN) @ Superior - I'm not feeling Superiors offense. Considering your QB leads your team in rushing and passing (not to mention 4 INT's last game), Joe Reichert and the rest of Superior will need help against East. Duluth East wins 56-7.

La Crosse Logan @ EC Memorial - As I mentioned before, Logan almost gave a 100 yards on the ground to 4 seperate Huskies last week...BRC leading rusher Taylor Comeau will be licking his chomps as this game gets closer. Comeau rushes for 150+ in this game. The Old Abes come with a victory 34-21.

Current 2006 Record: 5-3

Untill next time, good luck to all teams in the BRC. Should be a great week! For stats in the conference, check BRCFootball.com!

I've got pride in my school, but that doesn't make them good.
If you were right, I'd agree with you
