Would it be possible to list who votes in these polls or the number of people who vote in the polls? The polls always amuse me how some teams are ranked and others are not ranked especially from the area I'm most familar.

We do not publish that information.

My guess is that it is not as many as some assume it is. That half explains the interesting results.

In the big picture, ranking will not win you one game. I have more an issue with the WBCA all star voting.

DSHA got beat again last night by Kettle Moraine. 0-4 can not be ranked.

Isn't KM their 3rd loss? In any case, that 3rd loss was after the coaches voted, so you can't hold that against them.
The other 2 losses were to the #1 and #8 teams in D1. Having DSHA #15 would be OK, IMO. It shows that the coaches actually thought about the competition they played.
The 3rd loss isn't very good, however. I'd think next week DSHA isn't ranked.

Pecatonica lost by 47 points to Newman and they are ranked 9th in D-4? Wow......Chandler is good but still a team that loses 75-28 and is 2-1 with a one point win can't be in the top ten if the voters are paying attention.

In the big picture, not a big deal......just one of those things that catches the eye.

Just like on the boys side (and in D7 football), things get pretty muddled in the lower half of D4. That loss to D3 #2 Newman doesn't look quite as bad after Newman beat Wausau West, a D1 team who may win the Big Rivers. Pec having a D1 recruit on their team has to help I'm sure too.

The coaches probably just looked at the record and past school history.

Early in the year polls are funny to watch sometimes....things should clear up in January.

speaking of newman and west.....is this the only case in the state where the larger D1 public will play the smaller private in NC?

Not to be picky....but Newman is D-4....#3 this week.....and West is part of the Wisconsin Valley Conference and should battle Marshfield at the top.

Sometimes you just gotta listen to what I mean not what I say. I'm blaming it on the blizzard of '09.

You don't know what you are talking about. You are just saying this because i see you are from osseo. I don't know too much about the cloverbelt, but what i do know is Regis is the best team, along with the best player by far in the conference. Regis will win the WC this year.
