UW Women beat Virginia 84-78 to advance to the final four of the WNIT. They now have the most victories (22) in UW women's history. Time and place of the next game TBA.

Jolene Anderson had 30 pts (8-8 FT) to lead the Badgers.

Way to go!

Thats really great. With all the attention the mens team got this year, a pretty young Badger Women's team has put together a great season. With no Seniors on the roster, next year should be special.

There are NO seniors on this year's team. It's nice to think of possibilities for next year!

the badger women will host the next round (against w. kentucky) on wednesday at the kohl center. the game is set for 7 p.m., so if you can, you should come support them.

Sounds like I might have to follow the Badger Woman a little next year. With their entire team coming back they should be a pre season top 25.

that would be the 1st time i would have ever seen them in the top25 but i dont think they will start the season ranked, even if they win the whole NIT.
A Playoff will be much more fair than the BCS.

I remember like 7-8 years ago, the Badger women started out like 17-0 and were ranked #4 in the nation and then lost like 10 of their last 11 games or something like that.

It may be your last chance to see the Badgers. If Wyoming wins they would likely host the championship game. The WNIT picks host mostly based on financials and Wyoming drew over 11,000 to their quarterfinal game! (Wisconsin drew 3,500). If Wisconsin and Kansas State both win though, the Badgers might host the championship.
