Should be an entertaining fast paced game today. It features a lot of the young talent in the NBA and has 5-7 legitimate NBA 1st rounders and 3-4 lottery picks with John Wall, Ed Davis, John Henson, and borderline potential lottery picks with Patterson and Cousins. Depending on how there careers play out, guys like Bledsoe, Cousins, and Strickland could also be legitimate 1st rounders with potential for a lottery pick. Should be a great game, although UNC is on the road, I think they have been tested a lot already this year and this will be UK's first test. I expect UNC to shoot a high percentage from the floor, create 12-18 turnovers, and limit the turnovers themselves, and for UNC's bigs to get Patterson and Cousins in foul trouble as UNC take this game. UNC 83 UK 78

This is when UNC looks really bad. They really lack poise sometimes on the court and dont have that player like Ellington, Lawson, or Hansbrough that can get that basket when they need it. The Tar Heels looked good getting out to a 9-2 lead but then went into a funk offensively, Wall got some transition baskets and UK went on a 16-0 run and now lead 18-11 with about 12 minutes left in the 1st half. This will be the story all year for UNC, they will look good at times and awful at others, it will be important for them to limit the damage when they go into funks and that will be on the defensive end.

This is where I disagree with Roy's coaching, this is not a veteran team by any mean and when you are reeling on the road, call a TO to slow down the momentum. Instead he is allowing this game to become a blowout with very little chance of coming back. The thing that beneficial is it will be another learning experience for these youngins on UNC to show them what it will be like for every game in terms of intensity and hostility in road games.

Larry Drew II trying to guard John Wall is comical.

I'm on the John Wall bandwagon. He is incredibly good.

I agree, I am not sure why they put Ginyard on Wall for the rest of the game.

With Wall out, Kentucky's offense has been very poor. Way too much telegraphing with their offense, while UNC is starting to pound it down low, and trying to pick up the tempo a bit with a full court press. Kentucky leads 45-38.
