Anyone out here have this game? What are your thoughts? What is your favorite weight class to fight with?

I love the light heavyweight class in this game. Evans, Anderson Silva, Machida, Rampage, the Iceman, just a stacked division top to bottom. I wish the career mode isn't as repetitive as it is, but this is a very good game, especially for its first video game ( to my knowledge).

this game is phenomenal. we go straight to a friends house from school every day and sit around for hours, winner stays, loser passes controller. the controls for me are impossible because my friends are a holes and won't teach me anything, so i suck at submissions and submission defense, which is almost essential to winning on that game. my favorite to fight with is matt hughes, his shooting is unstoppable.

I have this game and i love it. i was afraid id get bored with it fast, considering unlike a wrestling game there is only one type of match, but i was hooked the second i started playing. i personally enjoy the heavyweight class the most. im disappointed in the fact that you cant do career mode with a real fighter, but its still fun. ring entrances and the option to upload your own entrance music would have been nice. its amazing how real it looks. they are supposed to be coming out with a patch for it within the next month, so who knows what that will entail. hall of fame fighters would have been a nice addition as well.

I have the game, and yes there is a learning curve.

If you're being submitted, there are two things you can do. 1) Mash a face button really fast. This works extremely well if your guy has high strength, like Rampage. 2) Rotate the right stick clockwise for a technical reversal.

I usually rotate the right stick and button mash at the same time. I don't think that helps any doing both, but I do it out of habit. It's also very important to turn the stamina bar on in the options > gameplay section so you know how fresh your guy is. The moment your bar is fully yellow, you almost have no chance of getting out of a submission. You can't go into a fight balls to the wall, 100% all the time. Sometimes you have to sit back and defend, or just slow down.

I absolutely love this game. I haven't played in about a week, so I have to get on that again. The career mode is "meh," but for me, this game is all about playing other people. Online is especially difficult, because a lot of people know what they're doing. I think my record is 30-49. It was worse, but I started getting better. I put together an 8 match win streak, which was pretty nice.

I would disagree about the submissions being crucial to success. That may be the case for you because you guys wear yourselves out, but the key to a quick win is the full mount. A good portion of the best people online go for the takedowns (unless they're Rampage - then it's punches from hell), get into full mount, and bring the hammer fists from hell. Getting out of that position on your back is very very difficult. If you can somehow catch his arm and perform a submission, I consider you lucky. When I'm on my back at that point, I practically consider the match over. Even if I'm blocking, the ref can call the fight.

LHW is where I mainly fight. I think my favorite fighter in that weight class has to be Ortiz (used him for my win streak). His stamina is the highest, meaning I can be more aggressive without worrying about getting tired. I think the only guy that really equals him in that stat for LHW is Griffin.

there is a patch scheduled to come out sometime this month, so look for that. Also, were these glitches found on both systems or just one? I've seen the game played on three different 360's and I haven't yet encountered these problems.
