Wautoma and Nekoosa should be pretty solid for track as well as baseball. Just wondering what people think...

Speaking of track... I saw this posted in a [link=http://www.wissports.net/sports/football/blog/message.aspx?f=113&id=994248]Wissports Blog[/link] from a couple weeks back:

Likewise, Wautoma quarterback/defensive back Jared Abbrederis (6-2, 175) has also yet to sign or commit anywhere.

?I have scholarship offers to Minnesota State-Mankato, Winona State and the University of Minnesota-Duluth all for defensive back,? Abbrederis said. ?I am going to wait until track season to make a decision though. I have a chance to earn a (track) scholarship to Minnesota or UW-Madison if I run a 14.40 or under. We will see what happens.?

According to the 2008 Boys Honor Roll, Jared's best time in the 110 was 14.73, so I'll be interested to see how everything plays out.

well as of today jared will be on the wisconsin track team for sure. But as far as a scholarship goes idk... he probably will still have to run that 14.4 to get it. But thats a guess... im not exactly sure...

Wautoma takes boys track hands down, with the return of Jared A., Theo M., Bret B., and Chris B., they should have no troubles

Wautoma is my pick also, but its way too early to say they'll win it hands down. I wouldn't be surprised if Nekoosa repeated.

How's the season going so far for everyone? Looks like Jared Abbrederis is set to have a great finish to his high school career. He currently has the best performance in the SCC for 7 of the 14 individual events.

Yes he is looking really good. Too bad he cant do more than 4 events [] The 2 runners from Nekoosa are looking pretty good too. It seems like Wautoma and Nekoosa will both be at the top of the conference again this year. Dells also has some talent but they dont have the depth like Wautoma and Nekoosa. But they could score big in the throws with Kit, Kacmar, and Gibson if they throw up to their potential. I would like to see Wautoma win because its my home team but it wont be easy! Should be a good race

Intersting note:
Nekoosa has only one senior, and he is not much of a factor.
The bulk of Wautoma's points this season are coming from seniors.

Wautoma won for the boys with 191 points, with Nekoosa coming in second with 155. Wisconsin Dells won for the girls with 146 points; Nekoosa was second.

Looking at senor_carson's awesome SCC track site, there were a least a couple meet records broken on the boy's side as well. I think the SCC should definitely make some noise at the state meet. It should be an interesting next couple of weeks!

By the way, I go to UW-L and the new stadium looks great!

Just wanted to congratulate my cousins Ross and Raquel Ebbe. Raquel (Freshman) qualified for state in the 100, 200, Long Jump, and Triple Jump. Ross (Junior) qualified in the 100, 200, and 400.
