His name is Karl Ball. He's extremely quick and its looking like he might start at PG and DeFo will move Stewart to the 2. Should be interesting.

i dont know the make-up of defo's team really but having a guy switch positions if thats his senior year when its supposed to be his time i hope he has his head on right to handle getting moved in favor of someone brand new to the program. not saying it can't or won't work, but it depends on the kid.

Stewart is a junior, but he started last year and was on varsity as a frosh, might have started then too, I'm not sure. He is a really good PG, it would be very surprising if they moved him.

Stewart did start as a freshman. He took Mike Millers spot who was a senior at the time and now is a freshmen coach. At least he was last year. So mcpheely, is this Ball guy really that good?

Deforest always has great talent. They just seem to underachieve. Not sure why, but I remember back a few yrs ago when they had Stoltenberg and Smallwood and other good players....one of the Frank's. They fell short. Stewart is a really good player. I like him a lot. I am going to need to see Deforest in person and win big games before I jump on their bandwagon. I am more apt to rally behind Sauk and Mt Horeb as sleeper teams. When you talk top players.....most of these guys really haven't done much at the varsity level. Yes, I realize they were behind top seniors....but they are still unproven. The only real first level studs are that have shown they can get it done on the varsity level are : Stewart, Koenig, Mazur, Van Cleave, Hurd, Kowalke and Webber. After that....everyone is unproven. Waunakee even. They got the yearbook love as the pre season favorite....but not sure why. Tradition....yes. Coaching....yes. Good younger level success...yes. Proven varsity players.....no. Should be really interesting.

Ball is extremely fast and a good ball handler. I just said he could play some PG and move Stewart to the 2 when they're both in the game, but we'll have to wait and see.
