aren't the G.E.T and PDC and West Salen and Platteville games all interconference games...... I thought your 1 st round gaeme could not be a conference game???

I understand the seeds 1-4 but how do you figure 5-8, meaning 1 being Mondovi through 4 being St Croix Falls. But then how does the bottom part this Northwest division get seeded?

Those are not conference games. They play in crossover conferences, not the same conference, those are okay for the first round.

As far as the '5-8' seeds here it is from the WIAA rules and regs:

d. The remaining four teams in the eight team groupings will be paired with the top four seeds based on the following criteria: (1) Number one seed vs. closest nonseeded team, different conference. If closest nonseeded* teams are similar distances, worst conference record* is paired with number one seed. (2) Number two seed vs. closest nonseeded team, different conference. If closest nonseeded* teams are similar distances, worst conference record* is paired with number two seed. (3) Number three seed vs. closest nonseeded team, different conference. If closest nonseeded* teams are similar distances, worst conference record* is paired with number three seed. (4) Number four seed vs. remaining nonseeded team. (5) Separating teams from same conference takes priority over W-L record.

Thanks that makes sense. I was just ranking the teams and it seemed St. Croix Central should be headed to St. Croix Falls, but I see we are going to Somerset to stop the running game.
