I would love to hear what people from Winneconne, Omro, Ripon, and Berlin think about next year's new conference. Are people excited for the new conference? Are people upset that they are leaving their current conference?

This is what people said when Little Chute, Waupaca, and Hortonville left around 10 years ago, and what do you know, Little Chute and Waupaca are now back again.

I will say this, don't get too comfortable with the new conference, because I have a feeling the whole realignment with the Green Bay area schools might not work the way they want. Also, if they go forward with a fifth high school in Green Bay, that may alter things as well.

Ross, what you are speaking of was the Northern and Southern divisions of the Little Ten.

In the Sixities the Northern Little Ten consisted of Ripon, Berlin, Waupun, Mayville, Horicon and Columbus. To the best of my knowledge Oconomowoc and Beaver Dam were in the Southern Little Ten.

And to statter819, it looks to me like the ECC started sometime in the early Seventies, 1972 or perhaps even earlier.
Knowledge is good.

It was the ECC (East Central Conference) which consisted of Berlin, Omro, Ripon, Wautoma, and Winneconne and current Valley 8 schools Hortonville, Little Chute, and Waupaca.
