Texas is losing 10+ to an average USC team.

Texas is young. They will be a good team next year with or without Durant. Augustin and Abrams have proved they can score.

The Pac-10 is very good, yes. They have been playing well.

I find it hard to believe that anyone in the East region will be able to take out Georgetown. Teams can keep up with them for the first half, but in the second half, that team will just pull away.

rick barnes can't coach, all that talent and they lose to a good, but not elite, USC team

Barnes is a great coach. Just so happens all that talent is freshmen. Durant will go pro, but Texas will still be really good next year with the rest of those guys coming back. Plus add in highly ranked recruits like Gary Johnson and Clint Chapman to the mix.
Not so fast my friend!

USC this year is very good. Their are peaking at the perfect time, Pruitt is knocking down 3's, Taj Gibson is playing great ball, and Hackett is on fire so far this tourny. They might not be known as a basketball school, but thats going to be changing pretty quicky. They'll play UNC tough, lose in a close. Next year, they got OJ Mayo coming in, as well as 2 other top ranked prospects. They'll be good again.

Besides, they beat Texas by pushing at the weak parts. Their defense kept Durant in check, and they got him in foul trouble by driving straight at him possession after possession.
The Brewers will finish 90-72 and earn the #1 WC berth.

Carlos Gomez will have a 30/40 season (HR/SB) and win a 2nd Gold Glove en route to an All Star selection.

USC also has Brandon Jennings coming in who is arguably the top point guard in the class of 2008.

How do you figure no one will be able to beat Gtown in the East region? They beat BC by 7, UNC beat em by an average of 10 points in the two games against them (one at BC)....so to say UNC wouldnt be able to "keep up with them" in the second half wpuld be ludacris. Lets not forget Vandy also beat Florida, so before you go yapping your mouth that no one will keep up with Georgetown, remember they beat an AVERAGE BC team by 7.

UNC has very average defense, and Green will force Wright to guard him outside on the perimeter where Wright rarely is. Also, when BC has Dudley/Rice scoring, they are a hard team to beat regardless. Don't always go by the scores of games to pick out a winner.

I hardly doubt Wright would be on Green in the first place. More like Reyshawn Terry would be because hes more athletic and can move better. Reyshawn is 6-8 compared to Wrights 6-9 so I believe Terry would guard him. To say they wouldnt keep up with them is ridiculous to say though. You actually think Hibbert can run up and down the court all night long with the fast break Carolina runs, dount it. Granted yes if it happens it would be a great game, but again, to say they wont be able to "keep up," come on now.

In the second half, no I don't think UNC can stay with G-Town. G-Town is very comparable to that of VTech. G-Town have athletic fowards that can outduel many other fowards, forcing inexperienced guards to pick up the slack. That is exactly how Virginia Tech came out victorious twice. Match-ups favor G-Town drastically.
