I just talked to a friend of mine from Stevens Point and he indicated to me that if the district proposal does not go through, Kenosha Bradford will travel to Stevens Point for a week 2 non-conference game in the 2010 season. It is going to be Saturday night... what a great matchup for both teams for a non-conference game. Looking at the past few years, they are both considered to be one the top Div. 1 programs)

Stevens Point last 4 years
43-8 .843% (3 state semi finalist 1 quarterfinalist)

Kenosha Bradford
40-9 .816 (3 state quarterfinalist)

Shoud be an interesting game between two very good programs.

what about the excessive travel time that so many are against?

You are agreeing with me and saying I'm wrong in the same post.

If the district proposal doesnt go through they will play. If it does go through they will not play because week 2 is a district game.

Who are you saying is wrong?

Your post is a little confusing to me...

I think "a fan" just misread your post. I think he thought you meant if the proposal DOES go through, when you meant if it doesn't and we still have the same system next year.

I did misread it. Thanks...See, someone can read my mind.

He is wrong about that, Week 1 would be the only NC or ND game..

Per the WIAA:
Within the districts, schools will have week one to schedule non-district games with traditional rivals or other opponents.

District games will be played during weeks two through eight. Week nine will be the last game of the regular season and the first week of the play-offs for qualifying teams.

This is a game I'd hate to not have take place next year...[:-]

Great early-season matchup.
