Apparently Mike D'Antoni wants Marbury to be waived so they don't have to deal with the headache of this situation anymore. I don't know, I'm not a Knicks fan or a follower so I'm not sure how it's affecting the team, but isn't SOMEONE going to come along and give them something for his expiring contract? Granted, the Knicks would have to take on a contract possibly running past 2010 which seems to be a priority NOT to do. The problem is, there aren't a whole lot of teams that would really need Marbury. The few I could think of are the Bucks and Warriors right off the top of my head and neither has much to give up. I think he'll be waived and picked up immediately.

Well actually Steve Francis is still on the Rockets' roster. But anyway, Marbury could be headed to being in a similiar situation that Francis is in right now. I mean sure his attitude and style of play hasnt always been a good fit for teams but like Francis, his overall game has never really diminished. He just hasnt been giving a chance and/or been in the right system for awhile.

I would use the word intriguing along with scary because if the chemistry is there, the combo of Wade, Marbury, and Beasley would be nice, not to mention Marion. Throw in Haslem at the 5 and you have a sqaud that could contend with anyone in the East.

Miami has interest off the waiver wire. NY has to eat some of his salary.
