Good to see a lot of competitive basketball this year with some of the top teams in the southeast. Horlick, Case, and Indian Trails have all been ranked this year. Park and Oak Creek have been very competitive. Should be some great games the next two weeks in conference play. Also, a good non-conference game coming up on February 7th with Case at Dominican. Looking at the bottom part of the conference with Tremper, Bradford, and Franklin, youth is showing with these teams. They may be two years away from competing with the top dogs. Hopefully, the parents in these communities will back off and let these coaches direct these kids in the right direction. Tremper had a great varsity coach who probably had enough with the parents and Franklin saw there coach pushed out in 2008. At some places you have to be warm and fuzzy.[]

Can't help but feel the SEC is down a bit this year. Thought Case would show better in some of these games. Have yet to see them but Horlick seems to be ahead of the rest team-wise...Skeptical there's a sectional-level team in this group though.

You make some good pts. The difference with the top teams is that Horlick and Indian Trails play disciplined basketball. I think Case has the most talent, but they don't defend like they are capable of and don't move the ball well on offense.

Pinson, Scott, Kirby, and King are very talented, but you have to bring the effort every night.

There's a reason Case can never get past Milwaukee King.

If Coach J retires the freshmen and JV coaches teach at the school, but I see a lot of outside people going for this job.
