If you want to hear about hear about small town guys making it big, look at the Iowa Hawkeye program. They do a great job of taking guys from small communities and turning them into great players.

I think the Hawkeyes had 4 guys from small community of Aplington-Parkersburg are currently in the NFL. Aaron Kampman is one...I think. Don't quote me on this.

Jared DeVries, Casey Wiegmann, Brad Meester and Kampman are the four.

Meester played at NIU.

Luke Swan-Current Badger-3 year walk on, got a scholarship this year and ended up starting and playing very well. 3rd on the team in catches and recieving yards and i want to say he was 2nd on the team in recieving td's. Luke's from Fennimore, bout 2500 people in our town and only 257 people in our high school. Great story.

What about Mike Webster. I'm not sure where he went to high school, his wikipedia bio says that he was born in Tomahawk, not exactly a big town.

I believe he was a Rhinelander Hodag, could be wrong though.
