Didn't think I would be saying that Zach Davies is the best starter we have going.  He was pretty good last night and hit his spots and his change was as good as ever.  And Junior Guerra did the job at the back end to close it out.  With his split, maybe he can become that set up guy and take some of the pressure off of Hader having to go multiple innings.

Speaking of that, if CC makes Hader the 9th inning guy - and just working the 9th a majority of the time -   I think having him available 3-4 times a week is more valuable than having him work 2+ innings a couple of times a week.  Of course that means someone would have to fill that hole and maybe Guerra is that guy.

Getting a win today salvages the trip.  I will take a .500 road trip out west.

Good to see Aguilar showing some life and maybe taking him out of the 4 hole takes some pressure off of him.  Wonder if CC goes back to Grandal today or gives him the day off?  Most of the time, I would think he would get the day off, but his bat has been sizzling.

Unfortunately Jhoulys Chacin struggled right out of the blocks and gave way to Chase Anderson after giving up 6 runs in 2 1/3rd innings. Brewers only gave up one run the rest of the way, but unfortunately the offense was stifled by Dodgers starter Ross Stripling (8 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 3 K).

The Dodgers snapped a 6 game losing streak with the win over the Brewers yesterday.
