Three behind in the loss column with 12 games to go in the season.  The Brewers have pounded the Reds all season with an 11-5 record against them this season.  Their record against the rest of the division is just 21-30 which is really hard to believe.  It will be really interesting to see what kind of a deal Wade Miley is able to get after this year.  He obviously isn't coming back to the Brewers on another minor league deal next year.  I have no idea on what the rest of baseball would be willing to pay him next year, but it will be definitely be more than the 2.5 million he made this year.

Monday,  Wade Miley (4-2, 2.23) vs. RHP Anthony DeSclafani (7-5, 4.80) FS Wisconsin 6:40

Tuesday,  Chase Anderson (9-7, 3.85) vs. RHP Michael Lorenzen (3-1, 3.21) FS Wisconsin 6:40

Wednesday,  Gio Gonzalez (8-11, 4.44) vs. RHP Matt Harvey (7-8, 4.67) FS Wisconsin 6:40

You don't pick the moment, the moment picks you.

Anything less than a sweep is disappointing, in my opinion. At least if they're still trying to win the division. Let's hope the Diamondbacks take at least 2 from the Cubs.

2 of 3 would be great - would solidify that 1st wild card spot.  Sweeping would be nice, but I dont expect that.

I agree that a sweep is probably a must in order to win the division.  With the Cubs out West, this is the time.  Not looking ahead, but I am not looking forward to the weekend series in Pittsburgh.

Look for some long balls this series and hopefully most of them are coming from the home team!!

Brewers cruise 8-0 in Game 1 behind Yelich's second cycle of the year and five shutout innings from Miley and three from Woodruff for a save.

Only the 5th time in MLB history a player has hit for the cycle twice in the same season.

First time in MLB history a player has hit for the cycle twice in the same season vs the same team.

At the current trajectory, this may wind up being one of the worst trades of all time. Diaz, Harrison, and Yamamoto aren't exactly tearing it up either.

They are all young and will have time to develop, but much like the Cain signing, this was 1000% the right move.
