Serena Williams is gradually earning a reputation as a bully and a poor loser. Another verbal assault Sunday during the US Open Championship match on an innocent line judge and then pleading amnesia during the press conference. She's already on probation for a profanity-laced outburst last season involving a line judge. She's not only embarrassing herself, she's an embarrassment for the sport of Women's Tennis.

So she gets off with a $2000 fine. Get real WTA. Suspend her a_s and sit her down for the Australian Open. See if that teachs her a lesson about respect & treating others with some class & dignity. With these rage-filled tirades as of late, maybe they should begin testing Ms Williams for HGH & PED's.

Watch her dismiss her own behavior during the post-match press conference like an innocent, giddy school girl:

Her tirade on the official really annoyed the hell out of me. She talked down to the official like she was talking to a friend.

Imagine if Arron Rodgers or Tom Brady told Ed Hochuli to "look the other way if you ever see me in the hall" and it was caught ON FILM!

Serena, your opponent wiped the court with you, and you took away her spotlight by throwing a hissy fit. Grow up.

Although, Mick, I do believe your hinting at Serena using PEDs is a bit unfair. I believe WTA has pretty decent drug testing.

I can't stand Serena, never could.

You're too kind, Spike. My comments were probably more than a hint and they may have been more than a bit unfair. On the other hand, they weren't really meant as an indictment as much as they were meant to be a less-than-subtle suggestion of a plausible explanation for her recent displays of rage & anger.

However, I can completely understand why one might consider the mere mention of PED's and HGH, especially in the face of zero evidence, as unfair and a bit heavy-handed.

wasn't it long ago when Williams sister's were the most dominant duo on the women's side? Those days are long gone....Venus has been dealing with multiple injuries/illnesses, and Serena with these issues.

I think Serena has always been a poor loser. I cannot remember one time where she lost a match and gave credit to her opponent. It was always "I didn't play well" or "I missed too many easy shots." She runs around smiling when she is kicking the crap out of an opponent but she is a terrible sport when she loses, as is evidenced by the tantrums directed at officials. Venus has always exhibited more class than her little sister.

I cant believe people, especially men watch womens tennis. Thats a real, all around sports fan if you can stand it. I would rather go get a physical by Freddy Krueger, than watch a womens tennis match!

What I've learned as a sports fan in the 21st Century is that if an athlete comes along who is bigger and stronger than anyone we've ever seen in the game before and that athlete dominates the competition, that in itself serves as strong evidence of performance enhancers.

Add in to that the fact that Serena Williams is jerk, to put it nicely, and always has been, and I would love nothing more than to see her get busted.

She has always been an extremely sore loser. It was covered up by the fact that she didn't lose very often and she and her sister are the only really successful American singles players in the last decade plus, so the media and fans turned a blind eye to her faults. Based on the post-match comments she consistently makes about her opponents, I have no problem saying I think she's the most arrogant, disrespectful popular athlete in America right now.
Ricky Rubio will be a Pamela Anderson sized bust.

Have you seen Hochuli? Brady and Rodgers would never dare say some stuff like that to him because he could probably kick their arse.

Of course serena gets off light for being a jerk, the wta knows that she drives interest in that sport.

This is probably very predjudicial because I don't have any kind of a tennis background, but it seems to me like there are more self-centered jerks in that sport than there aren't. She's not the first (not defending her), McEnroe deserved a good beatdown or 3 for some of the stunts he pulled in his day, and he's probably still more famous than pete sampras, nadal or federer. It's an entitled sport filled with entitled people

Serena Williams backpeddles on comments she made to Rolling Stone Magazine regarding the rape of a 16-yr old girl:

"SERENA WILLIAMS COULD'NT BE MORE FULL OF IT

Part of me knows I shouldn?t touch this next item, but when someone serves up a big, heaping, steaming pile of BS, it has to be acknowledged. Serena Williams gave an interview to Rolling Stone magazine in which she said this about a 16-year-old girl who was raped: ?Do you think it was fair, what they got? They did something stupid, but I don?t know. I?m not blaming the girl, but if you?re a 16-year-old and you?re drunk like that, your parents should teach you: Don?t take drinks from other people.? Of course, there was backlash and today Williams issued an ?apology,? which could not have been more disingenuous since she basically put the blame on Rolling Stone, as if the author is just going to randomly make up quotes about rape. Call me crazy, but I?m going to believe the writer got the quote accurate and this person is lying."
