It was a good day at Boscobel last night. Several people from Heights made it to State.

Rory Cotter (High jump, 4x4 relay)
Andy Yasick (800, 4x4 relay)
Logan Brunner (4x4 relay)
Peder Ohlrogge (200, 4x4 relay)
Hillary Hughes (100,200)

It was really exciting to watch the 4x4, it was really close the whole race. Heights ran a 3:25.07 allowing them to hold off a very good team of Arcadia.

On a side note, Isaac Kalsow had the ability to make it to State last night in the shot and discus, unfortunately it was one of his nights where he felt he could have done better. But he's got two years left, so look out for him in the upcoming years.

Yeah both those guys from Sugar River are tough.

Isaac should have moved on in my eyes, but it just wasn't his night. His PR for disc is 147'?'' and 46'?" for shot. And he only threw in the 120's for disc, scratching 3, and only 41' for shot. He was disappointed in his performance but I reminded him he's only a Sophomore.

He is also taking a trip to Australia. Isaac and I were invited by Down Under Sports to compete for Track and Field, I decided not go. But he leaves June 29, so he is still practicing everyday for that. Good man.

That's quite the commitment, good luck to him.

Jeremy McDermott (110hh) and Travis Beutler(3200) moved on for Sugar River. I also saw that Davis moved on in triple jump and long jump from marshall. Being a thrower i would have liked to see Kalsow move on, he did have a very tough sectional though, and he's got 2 more years to make it to state and i'm sure he'll keep working hard.

Good luck to all athletes! It's gonna be one heck of a time in front of 15,000+ people on a brand new 10 lane track. See you all there!
