I can't imagine anyone saw the MVC sending 2 teams to the Sectional Finals, considering 6 of 7 teams end up beating each other up in one D2 sectional. Congrats to Central and Aquinas.

Predictions:

Central in for a dog fight with Hortonville. Hortonville (Polar Bears...ha) has a D1 player named Krueger. I see this one almost too close to call, but in the end, I think the FVA the Polar Bears play in has really prepared them night in/night out. I've got Hortonville by 6.

Aquinas has won 3 blow outs so far. They face a very good Darlington team that is underseeded due to their best player missing most of the season. It appears Aquinas has too much offense for D4 teams to keep up with and like Hortonville, Aquinas is taking advantage of having played a brutal schedule for D4 team. I'll take Aquinas by 7

I really hope you are wrong on your Central/Hortonville prediction. I am really hoping for a D2 field that includes Central, Waunakee, Whitnall, and Kaukana. There would be a lot of D1 talent on the floor in both games.

According to the box scores, Hunter Johnson returned on January 12th, but I don't know how healthy he is. He hasn't been scoring like you'd expect since his return.
