Dekker was explicit in his post-game interviews that he would take at least 2 weeks to decide, once he was able to get back home (Madison) and process and distance himself from the Loss to Duke in the championship game. He indicated his possible personal desire to return for one more year isn't really going to be much of a factor in his decision. Rather, he went on to explain, much will depend on what's best for him in the long run, financially and otherwise.

If I were to venture a guess, I'd say he's gone.

It is really sad if Dekker ONLY makes a decision based on finances, etc.
Of course he will get a ton of money. You are only young once and should
enjoy it. I suspect Dekker may have just 'said' that and it really means nothing.
He doesn't come from a poor family and to my knowledge he doesn't have any
kids running around yet.

Heck no.

Only first rounders are guaranteed money in the NBA draft, and if you're firmly in the middle of 1st round right now, the injury risk of returning is just way too high. Sad to see him go.
