If Michael Crabtree was a Crip and Richard Sherman a Blood on Milwaukees's north side, then Crabtree would be dead right now. And, if interviewer Erin Andrews had any latent desire to date NFL cornerbacks, the look on her face tells me she's over it.

Richard Sherman is now my favorite non-Packer (and ranks above such Packers as Burnett and Raji who consistently under preform).

An exert from a piece Sherman wrote for Peter Kings MMQB page:

"Erin Andrews interviewed me after the game and I yelled what was obvious: If you put a subpar player across from a great one, most of the time you?re going to get one result. As far as Crabtree being a top-20 NFL receiver, you?d have a hard time making that argument to me. There are a lot of receivers playing good ball out there, and Josh Gordon needed 14 games to produce almost double what Crabtree can do in a full season. And Gordon had Brandon Weeden, Brian Hoyer and Jason Campbell playing quarterback.

But that?s not why I don?t like the man. It goes back to something he said to me this offseason in Arizona, but you?d have to ask him about that. A lot of what I said to Andrews was adrenaline talking, and some of that was Crabtree. I just don?t like him. "
The Brewers will finish 90-72 and earn the #1 WC berth.

Carlos Gomez will have a 30/40 season (HR/SB) and win a 2nd Gold Glove en route to an All Star selection.

Yet people wonder why racism is still alive and well in this country. Sadly, people like Sherman reinforce the stereotype.

Sherman is actually a pretty intelligent person. He let the moment get the best of him last night and used his platform in a way that he probably shouldn't have. Watch some videos of him talking about the game of football and you can see that he's more than a football player who got through Stanford because of his position on the team.

What does race have to do with speaking angrily vs speaking in an educated way?

I'll say this about Sherman...I like the way he trolls.

I'm not even all that torn up about the interview, the only thing that bothered me was that his team just won the NFC and all he wanted to talk about (granted, Andrews' prompt may have steered it that way) was how great he was....ehh.

It was just a really bad time to rant about Crabtree...save that for the presser or locker room interview.

We're not going to start race talk here.

Take that to twitter.

Edit: I locked the thread after DB's post, but before it had appeared on my screen.
