At today's Signing of the Stars event, Flair stated he actually signed to play football with Michigan in 68. Who knew.

Also says he hates Ohio State. Good work Nature Boy!

Originally signed with Minnesota years ago; spurns the Gophers at the last minute.

When I lived in Charlotte Ric Flair was at the mall what seemed like every day signing autographs. He was the Charlotte version of Pete Rose in Vegas.

Flair also made his in-ring debut in Rice Lake. Back then he had buzzed brown hair and weighed a doughy 300 pounds! Looked nothing like the Nature Boy persona he would adopt later on.

Not sure what the business connection would be. Flair was not paid for his appearance. No one at the event was.
