Haha come on now. That was a lucky day for ya. I had to let ya win since it was your fist time playing that game, I felt bad for ya.

And to start now. Lets skips all this talk on here about people bashing people and start talking some basketball. It's that time of year baby. So ima start and give my out look on conference this year.
1.Barneveld
2.Monti/Pec/Blackhawk
3.Monti/Pec/Blackhawk
4.Monti/Pec/Blackhawk
5.Albany
6.Juda
7.Argyle- Sorry fellas even though you may be competitive.

What's some other peoples thoughts.

alright were moving on from crybaby stage good. and the way i see it, Barneveld, Monti, and Pec will be top three, in that order. Pec instantly becomes a better team with the run and gun o and d that kp will demand out of anyone that will see the floor. that being said, monti's strenght is at the guards, everyone knows that, but barnevelds team defense along with Logan Johnson on offense i think will be able to contain monti. i honestly don't see upsets coming out of the bottom very frequently this year. theres always going to be one or two, but the top three teams this year, and maybe black hawk i think are head and shoulders better than the rest, unless teams got alot better from last year. Black Hawk to me will be interesting this year. i believe mort is gone, which is a sad day for the whole conference because he was the best coach to watch in action, they should have had mort mic and mort cam at every game. i don't think black hawk has that much talent coming back though if im not mistaken. the senior class last year was pretty athletic but i don't remember much junior contribution. unless they have a really good sophomore class of stud freshmen, they'll be right in the middle.

I know Jeglum gets hurt a lot... haha.. but are you saying that what happend to him got magnified or something because of what happened to him. It was no little bump. The guy went to take a charge and got ran over. So im kinda offended if that is what you are saying? Or enlighten me cuz it sounds like you are saying he blew it all out of porportion!

no you are misunderstanding what i said. what i mean is jeglum has missed chunks of time in more than one season of bb and fb and i'm not counting this fb season. i'm not intimating last years injury was anything less than very serious, i'm just saying one unlucky or accidental bump can cause a serious injury in losing your balance or your momentum causing you to be knocked to the floor, wall or even another player which could cause another such injury cause it's more likely after you suffer such a head injury to be more succeptible to a recurrence. i'm just saying history points to the possibility of losing a part of this season through no fault of his or anyone. he just seems to be unlucky on the injury front, you hear commentators talk about it all the time about collegiate or pro athletes just being unlucky or injury prone through no fault of their own, it's just the way the ball bounces. if he can stay healthy maybe pec. finishes near the top, maybe not, if he gets hurt i think their chances are even less, thats all i'm saying. there's talk on the west board of droessler having an acl issue, if that's true what does that do to benton's hopes before a whistle ever blows. thats where i was going with those comments, one injury to a kid in these size schools gets magnified because most schools have a depth problem before anyone ever gets injured, it's just a numbers thing with fewer kids to pick-up the slack like the bigger schools would have.

O i understand now. Sorry didn't mean anything just was wondering what you meant. I misunderstood but now i understand. Yea if that happens to benton or any team you are right that depth for most teams is limited and so it is true what you say!

i make several intelligent arguments of my points and never once stoop to calling names. you just can't stand that can you. just so you know obnoxious would be describing your actions, not anyone personally. it's just funny to me how you keep proving my case for me so i'll try to let it be. barn. is on the top followed by mont. then it's any kind of a jumbled mess. pec maybe if jeglum can stay on the floor, which history says will be a problem, one accidental bump and he can be done for year, which is true for any individual player bad landing, slip, misstep which gets magnified at schools this size in terms of hurting their chances. it can end up any order after the top two.

what are your so called intelligent arguments? you talk about history of Barneveld congratulations i could have read all that on wikipedia. and sorry the truth hurts sometimes. your a crybaby. you try and make us look like we say the most horrible things in the world and that were bad kids. if your a grown man and can't handle a high schooler saying some not g rated things to you then i laugh at you. i don't care if i look like a complete ass right now because if people want to sit there and mope about how mean and arrogant we are then whatever, don't read what we put, because it really isn't that bad. im sorry if i actually offended you on a personal level. im not here to hurt your feelings. im on here to have fun, and spill what knowledge i have. i openly admit to being biased, although alot of it is just the truth. i really don't see what your problem is. so i apologize for anything i have done to upset you. thats not even being sarcastic. obviously were never going to see eye to eye. we can end this and talk about basketball, or we can keep our little b-fight going. its up to you. have a great day, im off to watch some state football.

Do I have to get involved guys (on both arguments here, personal and conference?). Let me advise you guys, stop with the "you're a crybaby" "you are punks" "what do you know oldy" "what do you know youngen" - it's getting old. The message board is for stating opinion, facts, and professional and respectful arguments.

If I so feel that is not upheld, either I or Travis will shut down this board entirely. So there is that.

Next, my prediction.

1. Barneveld. They will likely go undefeated and Johnson (barring injury) should easily win POY.
2. Monticello. Bring back some great guards, but like four other teams, has a new coach. They should be fine, though.
3. Pecatonica. They have talent, like Jeglum. However, without Feller and Kurschner, they will hurt on occasion.
4. Black Hawk. TJ Adams is a good player and should keep them in games/up in games this season.
5. Albany. They lost a lot, but Doescher is a good coach.
6/7. Juda/Argyle. I think each wins a game or two in conference, with likely a season split between both of them.

Overall, this is a down year for the conference. Last year saw Monticello earn the conference title by playing amazing. Barneveld was good and Place kept Black Hawk in the hunt. That's why I think Holz, Place and Johnson were very deserving candidates for POY. This year, I think Johnson is the far and away front runner. It would be like Tim Tebow playing in the MAC.

On the girls side, it gets interesting. Black Hawk and Barneveld will likely duke it out for the top spot. From there it's anyone's guess.

Here's mine:
1a. Barneveld
1b. Black Hawk. The two will split and sweep everyone else.
3. Pecatonica. Chandler may be the one (wo)man show this year. There are good compliments on the team, but she herself could/should average over 20+ ppg.
4. Juda. Juda is more primed for a postseason run than a conference run, given their quality post (Boeke and Kiser). If they finish third, it will not be a surprise.
5. Albany. Nearly all juniors with talent.
6. Monticello. Could also interchange.
7. Argyle. Just a guess.

If anything, the girls side is very wide open. After BH and Barneveld, you could make a case for any team. I think the girls side of things is up in talent/play this year where as the boys are down. Then again, no one has stepped on the court yet. One injury could change everything.

im just saying man someone might say your out of control or something for saying Barneveld will go undefeated, but overall i agree with all of your picks, and your comment of Logan Johnson just absolutely made my night, although he is sitting by me and shook his head at that notion, because like tebow he is as humble as they come. hopefully this prediction works out better in the long run than you picking or MHB football team to finish at the bottom of our conference this year lol.
