That must just have been an omission on their part, because both conference B and conference C are supposed to be 10-team leagues, and C only lists 9. The proposal on the table had Gilman in C, and it was a straight yes-or-no vote yesterday with no chance to modify the plan, so if it passed, Gilman is in C.

It appears Gilman will be in the Marawood North conference for football only:

Abbotsford
Athens
Colby
Gilman
Park Falls
Phillips
Prentice
Rib Lake

There is no "Marawood North" for football. Gilman will be in the Marawood North for everything *but* football. For football, they're in the yet-to-be-named "Conference C".

I am pretty sure that for football Conference A will be the Cloverbelt conference, Conference B will be the Marawood-Large and Conference C will be the Marawood-Small. Thus for football the Cloverbelt will only have eight teams.

I was also wondering if they will make two divisions out of both B and C. If they dont there is a possibility of two undeafted teams in the same conference. If they make two divisions of 5, teams will have to play three teams twice. They have done this with the Southwest Wisconsin Conference and it is really dumb, IMO. Playing a team twice in the regular season limits how many different schemes you see and it is probably detrimental to your preparation for the playoffs. I think they should have made four conferences for football.

I'm not a fan of the 10-team conferences either, but there is no way there can be two undefeated teams in one conference. There's nine teams not counting yourself. You just play all nine of your games within the conference, with no non-conference play. Everybody still plays everybody else. And as for Conference A having "only" eight teams, that's what both divisions of the Cloverbelt currently have.

What I meant by "only" was that there really isnt going to be a large and small cloverbelt anymore, unless they name conf. C the small cloverbelt. So the Cloverbelt conf. will only have eight teams total, which would be half of what they have now. Are you positive they arent going to create two divisions of five each for B and C?

I dont understand where Gilman is going for football. They are not listed, but in the article in the LT, it makes it sound like they will be in "Conference C"
