So, any surprises so far? Any particular matchups you're really looking forward to? Any teams that could be adversely effected by the double-header setup of the sectionals?

Any other thoughts?

Just a bit of news: the Division 2 sectional at Chilton for tomorrow got postponed to Wednesday because the fields won't be ready for tomorrow.
Also just a question...how often do sectionals get moved because of participating teams locations? The Chilton sectional has Lakeside Lutheran, Waupun, Racine Lutheran, and Wisconsin Lutheran...not very centrally located if you ask me.

they don't get moved. one year for a sectional girls basketball game jefferson played mcfarland (or maybe it was monona grove...either way) in kettle moraine. they pre determine them and stick with them...

The Dodgeville Sectional in D2 should be pretty fun to watch. Same matchups as last year so it could get interesting.

I'll be surprised if Hartford doesn't cakewalk to state...even the good City squads have not been up to snuff this year.

i agree with that statement, especially after the 30-0 win in the first round

The Madison co-op was hardly a good City squad, as they only beat teams from the lesser City division...Hamilton and Riverside could give them a game.

Every once in a very great while they get moved. A couple of years ago for D4 Boys basketball the Randolph-Sheboygan Christian sectional semifinal got moved from Fort Atkinson(I think, it was, maybe somewhere else near there) to Fond du Lac. But it is a very rare occurance to see it.

Yea i know they get moved at least some because just this year our softball team was supposed to play in Prairie du Chien but it got moved to the Dells.

You're quite the horse's behind, aren't you?

That's what's great about baseball, a great pitching performance can give anyone a chance to win.

Riverside has been playing well as of late...we'll see if it holds up.

P.S. I still wouldn't call the City "up to snuff," just look at the non-conference results.
