I still feel that RV got screwed out of a 1st round win.
RV should have played nekoosa @ RV therefore
they would have won they would have had their 1st playoff win since 1998. I dont think the WIAA handled this situation correctly. Valley with a better record then PDC and having to play the #1 seed (even tho they
won) just was not right. RV should have got their 1st round home game based off the season they had. I believe people were just surprised about the fact RV had a great season this year...RV deserved what was originally handed to them based off the good football they played this year. will RV or PDC got to state? no but it is the fact that RV
won a 1st playoffs game since 1998 and that would have been a HUGE booster for the program. not happy with the WIAA on this one.
Seems like a lot of coulda, woulda, shoulda to me. Just like the Patriots should have beaten the Giants to go undefeated. I don't see your side here at all.
1)Prairie beat RV head to head by a nice margin
2)Prairie therefore had a better conference record moving them to #2
3)You had YOUR game, which YOU had a lead but failed to keep. Quit trying to find excuses for yourself.
Unlike River Valley, Prairie du Chien got picked to be a contender to go to state by Rob Hernandez, and on Saturday afternoon, I hope PdC doesn't fall to Lodi (are they still in the South Central or the joke of a league known as the Capital North/Fruitcake Conference) and the Wisconsin State Journal jinx. In other words, PdC has a lot to prove.
I guess i dont get this. My question to you, magnificent, is what does labeling the capitol north a "fruitcake conference" prove? Does this mean that RV got upset by a bunch of "fruitcakes".. I did not know a team had a control over how good the rest of the conference is? Just wondering, maybe you can help me out here.
I wouldn't call the Capitol a fruitcake conference. Every conference goes through its highs and lows.
When Lodi's coach was asked about what the first round victory meant for the school and the Capital, he (Puls) mentioned that the Capital North (as a conference) shouldn't taken lightly. If Lodi or any of the other schools in the Northern divison of the Capital Conference *want* to be taken seriously. The solution is simple - win a state title in another sport like football or basketball (besides wrestling - which the Blue Devils are a powerhouse) and don't say it, show it on the field. Until that happens, I'll still refer to the Capital North as a "fruitcake conference".
