Playoff Matchups!
DI
Manitowoc Lincoln @ (1)Arrowhead: Arrowhead should run over, around, between, under, etc Lincoln. It's another game that Arrowhead dosen't need to play starters all 48 minutes. Arrowhead 42 Lincoln 10

Mukwonago @ (2)Middleton- Middleton is gonna spread the field and pass, pass, pass on the Muk defense. I'd like to say that Muk could pull it out, but i just can't see them stopping a team that has 6 different guys with receiving touchdowns. Middleton 35 Muk 18

Waukesha West @ (2)Hartford Union, Another tough draw for the C8. Hartford has been a near unstoppable force. Their only loss coming to #1 ranked WISCO. They've got an average margin of victory of 30.5 points. This one could get ugly. Hartford 40 West 8

Kettle Moraine @ (3)Sun Prairie- This game intreagues me. SP has been a shaky team(according to the schedule/results). They started the season with a whooping, handed down by 5-4 Janesville Craig, But also had a 21-17 win over 2 seed Middleton. But then a week later lost 35-23 to 4-5 Janesville Parker. I'm gonna give C8 the benefit of the doubt here. KM 28 SP 21

Saint Francis @ (4)Catholic Memorial- IMO, just looking over the brackets CMH has big beef that they could cook. A FOUR seed for a team who is 8-1, only losing to the #1 team in the state, who is also ranked in the nation. Winning their games by an average of 37.375 ppg. CMH 45 St. Francis 7

And when they do eliminate St. Francis what is their reward? Perrienal Powerhouse WISCO. Congrats on the great season CMH. Too bad a terrible draw will IMO end your season a bit earlier than Madison.
and FYI, the 3 seed(Union Grove) in CMH's bracket has one more loss than the Crusaders do. One of their losses came to non-playoff qualified Elkhorn!

i agree with everything you said except for the fact that catholic memorial got a 4 seed because there are 3 conference champs above them. wisco, pewaukee, and union grove. the only way they could have gotten a higher seed was by the wiaa moving them to the sw bracket, which simply wasnt going to happen because of driving times. the seeding has nothing to do with conference wins as long as you win conference. since union grove tied for conference champs and cmh is 2nd in the c8 union grove will get the seed over cmh every year that would be the case. thats just how it works. im not saying its right, im just saying thats how it works.

thats why we play the games

The bracket would have been better if the WIAA would have followed the guideline of dividing up the undefeated champions evenly among the 4 regions.

2. TOURNAMENT PLACEMENT AND PAIRING PROCEDURES, DIVISION DETERMINATION
b. Each 32 team division will be divided into four geographical sections (A, B, C, D) of 8 teams each with priority given to having an equal number of conference champions in each section. In addition, undefeated conference champions (8-0, 9-0) will be identified. An attempt to equitably divide them throughout the geographical groupings shall be made. The McFarland bracket is the only region that only has 1 undefeated conference champion and only 1 conference champion. They should have had Kewaskum as the 1 or 2 seed playing Fox Valley Lutheran in the SE region. Moved Wisconsin Dells/Reedsburg to the NE region. Then moved Pewaukee and CMH to the SW region. Pewaukee would have been the 2 seed playing Jefferson. CMH the 3 seed playing Delavan-Darien and Evansville the 4 seed playing Madison Edgewood. The final change would be New Berlin Eisenhower would be the 4 seed playing Whitefish Bay. These changes would have made D3 more balanced without increasing the travel time a great deal.
