Fairly certain this is the 1st time in quite a while in which the Packers have raised ticket prices in consecutive seasons.

This is actually the fifth consecutive year that the Packers have raised their ticket prices. In 2010 my seats cost $73 and next year they will be $88. That is about a 20% increase in the past five years.

Man, a twenty percent increase since 2010 is outrageous given inflation only hovers between 1-3% a year..Sounds to me like they are hunting for higher margins rather than "raising prices because of market pressures".

Furthermore, you would think in a world where more and more people are starting to believe the football experience is more enjoyable in the living room the last type of publicity this type of business would want is price raising..especially given the NFL is a lucrative business in a nation of tense economic times.

Even given the Packers have one of the most loyal fans and their ticket sales probably have a very attractive price elasticity..its only a matter of time before they'll have to lower prices instead of increase if they want to continue the tradition of selling out every game.

So with the increase in ticket prices, is it fair for the fans to expect the team to increase their level of play?

Fair - YES!!
Realistic - NO!!

I'd like them to increase the size of my seat by 20% on cold weather games where I only get room for half a cheek.

I am also certain that by increasing the ticket price they will hold prices on concession items. []
