Who do you think will move into the number 1 spot for college hoops, North Carolina lost, so who goes there? Does Pitt deserve it or is it Ohio State maybe someone else derserves it.

Off topic, but where do you think Butler should be ranked if they should be ranked at all in your opinion?

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Florida hangs on to #1, just barely.

They had every AP 1st place vote and 30/31 coaches 1st place votes. With UNC falling in the same week, I don't see either team falling far. Florida losing to Kansas isn't like Kansas losing to Oral Roberts. Florida will not drop like Kansas did.

Florida will still drop. There were three undefeated teams behind Florida and North Carolina coming into the week and they are still undefeated while Florida and UNC aren't. Look for Florida to drop below Ohio State, Pittsburgh and UCLA.
I may be wrong, but I doubt it "I do have one question: Have you ever seen Gollum, John Clayton and Sam Cassell in the same place before?" - Charles Barkley

If OSU gets the #1, is it the first time that both football and basketball have #1 teams at the same time? They will lose though on Wednesday to UNC.
http://chuckcorner.blogspot.com- Please Comment, I finally am starting to work on this on a consistant basis. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Where do you think Wisconsin will fall to in the rankings? I say that they are still in the Top 10. My prediction is they drop 3 spots to #10 or at most #12. Marquette will probably be either one spot ahead or one spot below.

Well when Kansas lost to Oral Roberts they fell from #3 to #12, you can probably expect Wisconsin down around 12th-15th.

you lose, you are supposed to drop in the rankings. it happened every other time in the history of college basketball.
last year when number duke lost, they fell.
when kentucky lost to marquette in 2003, kentucky fell. it is just the name in college basketball.

I guess I really wouldnt be that suprised if Florida did hang on to that top spot, but I doubt that they will. I think Ohio State deserves to move up. That recruiting class is sick.

We will see what that Ohio State recruiting class is really like when the Big Ten games come around. Since Greg Oden is probably leaving after this year, Ohio State has another stellar class coming in.

Next year's team will be very good. I'm guessing Conley, Lightey, and Cook aren't leaving for the pros. Those guys will be even more experienced making Ohio State a very dangerous threat once again. Ohio State has another top-flight Center prospect coming in the class of 2007.

But this season, Ohio State's recruiting class may be good. However, we've all seen that the Big Ten schedule is very tough on the road. How will the freshman be composed when road games come around in hostile enviroments (Madison, East Lansing, Champaign, etc...).

UK still finished ahead of Marquette in the rankings that year

not saying they didn'ti have no clue actually. but wis gator was talking that if you lose you should fall in the rankings for football, but when it is basketball it is ok, i don't understand.
