Marquette @ Homestead - Should be a great game, I think Homestead will win by 10 or so.

D2:

Cedarburg @ Waunakee - I hope Cedarburg takes it to them, but Waunakee might be a bit much for them.

D3:

Port Washington @ West De Pere - I predict another undefeated season ends in this bracket.

Homestead but this game may be tighter than we expect. The Highlanders need to avoid looking past this team for the next round, or they may get bit. If they come to play, they win by 10+.

D2:

Cedarburg @ Waunakee
Tough game here. Waunakee is a football factory. Well coached and deep. I think Waunakee wins this, but I will be rooting for the Dogs to take it to them.

D3:

Port Washington @ West De Pere
Have no idea about Depere, so I am just gonna wing it and root for the North Shore. I would feel more comfortable if this was a home game for Port.

Homestead 14
Marquette 8

Final

As expected Marquette's offense did next to nothing.

Marquette's two scores came on backward passes from Homestead...Luke Acker picked up a loose ball that Homestead's Avery Walker inexplicably quit on and rumbled 80 yards for a score in the first, then Homestead (again, inexplicably) threw a backward pass in the end zone that Aric Daniels was supposed to throw back across the field but never got a chance to thanks to Marquette pressure and ended up getting flagged for intentional grounding.

Homestead's offense struggled with Marquette's defense, and while the Hilltoppers certainly came to play, some goofy playcalling from Homestead also helped.

Other than a few nice runs by Brock LaFace, Marquette did nothing on offense. They simply lack the playmakers.

Port Washington - 21
West De Pere - 14

Port went down early, but came roaring back to tie it at 14 at the half. The defense stepped up big after being down and shut a good WDP team down the whole 2nd half. Port scored 21 unanswered after they found their groove on offense. That WDP team had some monster linemen and a pretty good qb and fullback as well. It was a nice win for Port.
