I'm with the NFL on this one. Cable sucks. I love how they're "stickin' it to the man." If you don't have satellite, then beg your cable company to purchase it. It's not like they overcharge you anyway...

Also, if you don't have either, then I'm sorry. Go to a sports bar or find a friend that can watch the game.

Bryant Gumble is ranked #3 in worst annoucers behind, Bill Walton and Joe Thiesmann.

Some fans (Arizona) arent even fortunate to get their Sunday games on TV every week, because they dont sell enough tickets. Packer fans will never have that problem so we shouldnt be complaining.

Do you guys even understand what NFL Network wants? They want to be a basic cable channel that gets 70 cents for every subscriber to the major cable companies, like ESPN. They are nuts. They aren't on the same level as ESPN, and NFL Network needs to let up and be free to be offered in a different, more convenient way.

If you live in the Green Bay or Milwaukee markets...you will be able to see the Packer/Viking game. However...outside of those markets...if you do not recieve NFL Network...you are screwed as of right now. Milwaukee is considered part of the Green Bay "market" because the Packers used to play games in Milwaukee and currently have season ticket packages for those people who who owned season tickets to those games.

Luckily my cable provider (MHTC) carries the NFL Network...but the other provider here in Dodgeville (Charter) does not.

Gumball didn't call that good of a game. he was almost annoying at times, also, I felt he was calling the game for radio listeners and not TV.......does that make sense? I think he was trying to provide too much for the person actually SEEING the game.

anyhow.........IT WAS AWESOME TO WATCH IN HD!!!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR THE PACKER GAME IN HD!!!!!!

Dish Network also has the NFL Network. It is free for me as part of my basic dish program. I have heard that Direct TV customers have to pay to get it, is that true?

There has been some investigation into whether or not the NFL having it's own network is in violation of anti-monopoly laws. I don't think that anything has come of it yet.
