OK I’m pretty old and have watched a kagillion football games at all levels so you would think by now I would have seen everything. NOPE! I was in the process of shutting everything down for the night at the end of the Cleveland/Pittsburgh game when all of a sudden I witnessed something that I have never seen before.
At what point do league officials realize that maybe some players might not be cut out to play this game? I totally understand the emotion and physicality involved in playing the game but if one can't control one's self and attempts to seriously injure or kill another player outside the rules, in my eyes that's grounds for a permanent suspension, especially when you are carrying a rap sheet with your name on it!
All I can say is thank God he didn't hit Rudolph squarely on the head with the crown of the helmet because that may have been enough to end his life which is not what football was intended to do.
Make sure you flush twice for insurance!
What do you bois think?
