On the heels of his fumble vs the Rams on Sunday and allegedly throwing a tantrum on the sideline, which included throwing his helmet after being pulled from the game  earlier in the 4th quarter, before the dooming kickoff return, Packers running back Ty Montgomery has been traded to the Baltimore Ravens for a 7th round draft choice in 2020:

Packer safety HaHa Clinton-Dix has been traded to the Washington Redskins :

Interesting that Montgomery makes a decision that costs a game, he GONE!
McMuffin makes decisions that cost season after season, he keeps his job.

I have no idea what this organization is doing.  Things are quickly spiraling out of control.  Gil Brandt tweeted this out about the Packers' recent draft and develop progress:
2015 Packers draft: 1. Damarious Randall - traded 2. Quinten Rollins - IR 3. Ty Montgomery - traded 4. Jake Ryan - IR 5. Brett Hundley - traded 6. Aaron Ripkowski - released 6. Christian Ringo - released 6. Kennard Backman - released
Glad we got some low round picks 😏

To me this seems like the Packers are throwing in the white flag considering the stretch they are in. Montgomery had to go so just getting something for him was a plus. THe Clinton-dix move is a head scratcher to me. Not only is he your best safety, but by trading him you get a worse draft pick than hanging onto him thoughout the season. They would have gotten third round compensation for him instead of fourth round now. Not only that, their secondary just got worse with Brady, Cousins, Wilson, Ryan and Stafford on the horizon yet. It could be a long finish if they don't go 3-1 in the next four games.

Compensatory picks aren't guaranteed though, especially given the Packers could (and probably will, Thompson's out remember) sign free agents themselves this off-season which would potentially cancel that out. I think HHC-D and the organization as a whole weren't seeing eye-to-eye and the team decided to move on getting what they could.

As far as the 2013-2015 drafts, yeah, they were bad. Keep in mind the guy behind those drafts is gone, and so far the guy who handled the 2018 draft looks to have done a nice job...particularly with some low-round picks.

Spiraling, ehh. Re-tooling may be a more appropriate word.

Does anyone really believe they're going anywhere this year anyway? They struggled with the easy part of the schedule. It's just getting tough now. We should be hoping for more struggles that should lead to McCarthy's overdue ouster.

Been critical of Green Bay recently but they are consistent in draining the locker room of malcontents during the MM era , give the brash young a chance .

Stephen A Smith making a point that Rodgers should demand a trade after this season... Rodgers constantly bailing out the organization has to be taking the toll on him.

Anyone agree/disagree with this?

Personally, I agree.. to an extent.  Gotta give the new GM at least 1 more season to make some significant changes.  If Ted Thompson was still here I'd say it's a no brainer.  Rodgers deserves better.

I get the principle of "we need to do better," but agreeing with Stephen A. Smith is never reflective of a solid viewpoint.

Gets the clicks though!

I saw something on twitter that it would be a $59 million cap hit or something like that for the Packers to trade him, but don't let the facts get in the way of tremendous click bait Stephen A. Smith.
