it's kind of interesting that on 3-0 to the lefty A.J., the brewers elect to pitch to him instead of walking him in favor of a righty-righty matchup. i can understand the logic a little bit (you don't want to move the go ahead run to 3rd [even though with 2 outs he's scoing on a hit anyway], and you have hoffman, just let him pitch) even though i don't agree with it (put the lefty on, force out at any base and you have righty v. righty). the brewers got what they deserved in that situation, really.
i would also like to add that Pierzynski is hitting .294, fields is hitting .228. the more i think about it, the less logical the decision was.
It was just terrible pitch location on 3-0. Blame Hoffman/Kendall. They both should know better. Same can be said on Podsednik's single. Why throw it where he wants it?
