Short term I think it could work, long term you are grooming your next HC.

Is there a concern with Murphy doing the hiring over his GM?  It reeks of Jerry Jones.

I have no idea what to make of this...This was tweeted today by Winston Moss, Associate Head Coach/Linebackers coach.

Ponder this... what Championship teams have are great leadership! Period! It’s not the offensive guru trend, it’s not the safe trend. Find somebody that is going to hold #12 and everybody in this building to a ! Period! !

The thing is, poor grammar aside, he is right.  I was just listening to Good Morning Football, and Nate Burleson was saying that the Packers need a guy that won't coddle Rodgers, that is an authority.  They need a guy like Holmgren.

If we are looking at the results on the field, 12-1 seems to be far from a "rough" season....  Obviously all of the stuff with Zach Smith probably makes this as "tough" as any season he has had however.

I wasn't referring to the on field results. This mirrors his departure at Florida. I anticipate more "juicy details" will be exposed after he's gone.

NFL is a copycat league  , if Green Bay follows that script then the hot OC is the guy .

From far left field... Nick Saban decides at 67 years of age that all he has to accomplish is a Super Bowl .

MM deserved better ? .... He was only fired when Green Bay was eliminated , the franchise gave him respect and he returned in kind according to Jay Glazer .

Anyone but Josh McDaniels , that guy would leave Green Bay the moment BB retires.

Had not thought about that possibility .... but you make a very good point, dfnewberry !

I'd be very surprised if the Packers made DB Coach Kris Richard their offensive coordinator.

I do follow the train of thinking of getting a no nonsense guy at head coach. The coach I've long wanted in Green Bay is Bruce Arians. I strongly doubt he is the guy that ends up taking the job though.

I do think it's best to have an offensive minded head coach in today's NFL, especially when your quarterback in Aaron Rodgers. Like it or not, getting the most out of Aaron Rodgers will (and should) be priority number one of the new head coach.

The article I read listed him as passing game coordinator.
I went with it due to the open passing game they employ.

My bad.
