I'm not normally one to post too much about hockey, because I'll be frank, I don't know that much about it. I only follow it casually, during the playoffs. But with yesterday being Mother's Day, Martin St. Louis and his New York Rangers returned to Madison Square Garden and he scored the first goal of the game, only a few days after losing his mother.

I honestly, as an 18 year old male, bawled my eyes out when I saw him do it after hearing about his mother's death a few days prior.

This goes beyond hockey, hell, this goes beyond sports, but just the sheer moment of him doing it... seemed like it was written by the man upstairs. It was the most touching thing I've ever seen, especially with my own mother battling her physical demons.

I hope you all had a great Mother's Day, too.

It sure did spark the team- that's for sure! The playoffs (2nd season) are actually the best time to watch hockey anyways.

Will keep your mom in our thoughts and prayers.
