Absolute foolishness abound in this rag.
Spurs a better team in the decade than the Lakers? Lets be serious. Lakers with an edge in titles 4 to 3, pounded the Spurs in 4 of 5 meetings that they had in the playoffs. Lakers and Spurs both started the decade strong and the Lakers are closing out the decade stronger than ever where the Spurs are not looking anywhere near as strong.
2000-2001 Lakers as team of the decade is a joke, they are not even the best Laker team of the decade... the 1999-2000 and 2008-2009 Lakers would be much better choices.
How can Kobe be player of the decade over Tim Duncan if the Spurs were team of the decade? Duncan has been the leader of Spurs for the entire decade, Kobe has only been the undisputed leader of the Lakers for like 5 seasons.
How is a double overtime game from the first round of the playoffs that gave a team a 4-1 series win a better playoff game than two CLASSIC dramatic game sevens in the conference finals? Anybody even remember this Spurs/Suns game? Because I sure don't! The Lakers coming back from 17 in the fourth quarter and taking the lead on that Kobe-to-Shaq ally-oop is one of the most memorable plays and moments in NBA playoff history.
And again, for best playoff series of the decade, anybody even remember the 2006 series between the Spurs/Mavs in the WESTERN CONFERENCE SEMI FREAKIN FINALS?! The 2000 Lakers/Blazers or 2002 Lakers/Kings are the winner here and it's not even close.
Seems like he just through San Antonio whatever bogus category victories he could if you ask me.
Why don't you email him? Why does it even matter? It's one ******* ESPN reporter and his opinion. If you don't like it, go work for them so you can spew your bull**** bias onto the country.
(Talking about Tim Tebow) "If I would compare him to an active player, I would see him as a less agile, stronger Reggie Bush."
