Sucks when it's the other way around doesn't it?

Yeah, everybody hates the person with control but when the tables turn, nothing changes.

I can't speak for others, but the way girls are shown in that article doesn't indicate the way I am at all. Actually, with most of the guys I've dated I've been the one making money and they expect me to buy everything and do everything for them. I personally am all for 50/50.

The article definitely takes a stereotyped, bar-tramp view of women, which is what made me frustrated the most. Guys, there are good girls out there are aren't just looking for a "bad boy"- you're just looking in the wrong places.

I'm also a girl who believes in 50/50, he pays sometimes and I pay sometimes. It's actually pretty annoying going to places like fast food restaurants, because they assume we'll be on the same bill but we just pay for ourselves, and then the workers are like, what, he's not paying?

And to CnCsion....it's about time after centuries upon centuries of women as second-class citizens.

Agreed, I worked in a couple food joints in my day and a gas station, whenever people are with a guy and he is the one standing behind the woman while she pays people raise an eye-brow, probably has a lot to do with midwestern values as well but I raise the question. . .
the article brought up the scenario, "a guy's date gets pissed when he doesn't open the car door for her but she doesn't know he was scolded by a female co-worker the day before for holding a door open for her.

There are a lot of woman in the world who are so fixated on being equal that if you hold a door open for them or anything that used to be considered "chivalrous" they go nuts because you are sexist, but the other 50% of woman get pissed when you don't, mixed signals is all I'm saying.

To the final part, so in 50 years the boat turns around and women become second class citizens again???? I like the ideology. . . .wtf. . . . .

IG 1/21/08 Miss you mom

Being in sales is tough. Just when you think your day of rejections is over you end up going home to your wife for a couple more rounds.

I'll agree that there is pretty stupid. If a guy opens a door for you, take it. And it's really stupid if you get mad that he doesn't open the car door for you. What, is your arm broken or something? It's funny though, I'll be out with guys and there will be two doors before you go into the restaurant or something, so the guy will open the first door for me and then I'll open the second one for him, but I've had guys who refused to walk through the door I open for them. It's not be trying to be reverse chivlarous, I just usually follow if you have an arm that can hold open a door, do it... On a side note I hate people who walk in before you and just let the door slam in your face.
If you were right, I'd agree with you

The issue is that people are too moody and take things too personally. Everything is a HUGE deal to people. I have been in a long term relationship, and looking at the fights we have gotten into, it is because people get pissed over stupid things. People change what they want all the time. Not just women, not just men. However, it can be very frustrating for a man like myself who is very logical and orderly, to have emotions changing from day to day. My personal favorite is, "this is just like last time, you always do the same thing," which really means, "it is different, but i am going to say it is the same because I am mad about this too"

Overall, if a someone gets mad, who cares? really, what do you care? If they like you enough she will get over it, otherwise, screw it.
"Son, what are you doing sleeping in my daughter's dormroom?"
-"Uhhhhh, i got to go, im late for class."
-"Its Saturday morning."
-"Then im really late for class. Where are my pants?"
