Can't say I didn't see this coming unfortunately...I have also heard stories from a couple athletes that graduated from Lomira not to long ago as well as others in town that they wish the AD would go next...just hear say
Fact is, you didn't see this coming. The resignation was not forced.....he decided to resign due to the principal's failure to follow policy established by the school. Unfortunately, this happens all to often in schools. The stories you've heard from former athletes are probably from disgruntled ones as well as "towny" gossip from people who have no clue what their talking about. If you would ask his coaching colleagues, current players and former players, you'd probably find that he was well respected and very knowledgeable. I know of several conference coaches that spoke very highly of him and could see some good changes. I know that he coached at Campbellsport a few years back as well. I know for a fact that the coaching staff didn't want him to leave nor did the players. They respect the heck out of Schraufnagel.
