I heard they lost to Parker but didn't get a score or any details. Does anyone know?

I did talk with an assistant coach from another school that was there to scout - went to college with him - and he said Parker was ahead by 10-12 with a minute left. He didn't think Parker played particularly well and did some things that are un-characteristic of them. Turnovers and poor decisions. He said he thought it looked like they had not played for a while.

Said Logan missed a ton of shots and their post play left a lot to be desired. No threat at all in the paint. They were able to get out for some lay-ups early to get most of their first half points. He said if 10 doesn't score, Parker wins by 20+. I am guessing that is Michelle Mueller he is talking about. He felt it was a real sloppy game without much flow to it. Lots of fouls and turnovers.

Parker will be a good test. Logan will have to play team ball and stay focused to beat them. I think Tremper may be more dangerous then given credit for and they can't let their guard down against them. If they do indeed win both that should make a statement and confirm they are as good as we think (hope) they are. I know King was ranked at the time they beat them, but I think that ranking may have been more on reputation and possibly potential rather than factual, especially since it was Kings 1st game of the year. I hope they win 2 but I have a gut feeling they will split. Hopefully I am wrong.

Yep lost, alot of what you said is true on how it went, alot of poor shooting etc. You make me laugh you always know someone or talk to smeone at a game that seems to share or has your same views.

I was at the Tremper game today...Logan looked sloppy in the first half. 2nd half they pulled it together and really stepped it up on defense. I think Taylor Johnson led them with 21 points. Tremper really didn't have any standout players to challenge Logan and I was shocked with Logan's poor decisions. Most of their points in the 2nd half came from pressure defense and subsequent transition lay-ups....a lot of steals and tipped balls. I was definitely impressed with their full court defense. As has been a character of past Logan teams, this team is better in the full court/transition game than a half court game.

It seems to me that Logan has not been playing up to the our expectations...or maybe we just always thought they had more ability than they actually do. Whatever it is, Logan needs to step it up if they want to play with quality teams in March.

What I wrote came from a coach that is in Janesville's sectional. He was in town to visit family and I ran into him at a local establishment after the game. Just sharing what he told me.

Logan did indeed shoot poorly, they usually do, but last night was terrible(14 of 56). Parker also shot poorly(15 of 51), however they got to the free throw line and made it count(19 of 24 to Logans 7 of 13, pretty much the difference in the game) And on 2 of the missed free throws they got 2 uncontested baskets on rebounds. ( no boxing out or defensive positioning) Rebounding missed free throws are not the only problem as Logan was out rebounded 52 to 30 (again no boxing out or defensive positioning). Logan has enough size and athletes that they should not be dominated like this. Bruce did the right thing in putting the teams he has on the schedule. This should give Logan an idea on what they need to improve( and they must improve) to make a run at state. Now its up to the coaches and players to adjust and execute.

looking like they might not be as good as they hype. Maybe they can be, wait and see what they take from these games as a team and coaches. Liked the way team chemistry developed against Tremper. That helps to develop that in games where you are winning so it is put together against better teams like Janesville. Can they work on building that with some of the upcomng conference games? Wildraider how did they win if Mueller only scored 1?
